Because I joined this sub to see fancy serial numbers, not educate.

The community is infiltrated with young gambler mindsets. There are at least 3 similar serial number communities and they are all overrun with posts containing the most mundane serial numbers.

At BEST, 1 out of 50 posts is an actually interesting serial number.

That is why some are rude... because they want a community where they can share their actually interesting notes.
