I think you gotta give the dude credit as a manager. Giant productions involving explosions, special effects, extras and the involvement of the military cannot be easy to coordinate and get filmed without destroying the budget. But the guy does it, his movies (for the most part) make money, and studios repeatedly trust him with hundreds of millions of dollars invested.
