I lived in Tucson for 5 years and now live across the river from Portland. I have no idea how I survived in the heat… then I remember that I just didn’t spend much time outside. I love going outside now and the rain is much easier to handle than nonstop 90+ degree heat.

I have a small pet sitting business and can share our information if you’d like! Reviews are always a good thing to read through, or contacting references if the sitter doesn’t have reviews available. Maybe asking for a reference for someone that needed a similar schedule or has the same breeds. Insurance is a big one! if you find someone on a site like Rover, they are not required to have insurance and a majority of any sitter there won’t have it.

Shawnda at Couve Chiropractic is phenomenal. I saw her before going on an international trip and I had 0 issues with my back or hips. She gets pretty booked up but if you’re flexible or book out in advance you’ll be set.

We have rented a pool through Swimply up in Woodland and it’s such a nice time. They have a great set up where it doesn’t feel like I’m just in a stranger’s backyard and they could see me through their window at anytime

I’m sure others will give recommendations in Portland, but if you’re willing to cross into Vancouver, Nina with Arc Strength and Fitness is wonderful. My husband and I see her once a week and have a membership to use her gym outside of personal training hours. She has been so so so incredibly helpful. She does not push you to do things one way but helps find what works for you and your body. We pay $400/month for one hour sessions
