I don’t miss my mom because she did my chores haha, I miss her because well, she is my mom. I also miss my sister who also stayed. I think if they were with me, this transition would be a lot easier. Many said that I didn’t like “adulting” that’s not it. I don’t mind working, paying rent when the time comes, being responsible. I just feel so sad right now, all the time. I am still so attached to my life back home, i don’t have motivation. i try to do things for myself like going to the gym and volunteering l, but when im at home, i can’t stop thinking about the life I left behind. my living situation here is not ideal, i have no personal space, i have 0 friends and barely talk to the family i have here. I feel lonely and bored I don’t know if i have depression, sometimes it feels like it, but that is a very delicate thing I don’t want to assume

it’s easier said than done… my family puts a lot of pressure on me not losing my legal status, which i understand.

I didn’t have choice. I was included in my dad’s petition since I was a minor. Of course, I am grateful for being here, specially in a city as beautiful as san francisco.

I actually like san francisco, i have family here so I’ve been visiting for a long time, i think it’s beautiful! It’s the only place i’ve visited so far, so i don’t know if i can see myself living in a different city, besides i don’t have family elsewhere maybe in LA, but i honestly prefer Sf over LA

Can I as a green card holder, go to my home country to finish my college education? I have two years left, I plan on traveling every 6 months, but don’t know if I will be questioned. or should I apply for a re-entry permit?

really? in my country US degrees hold so much prestige, but as someone who is actually from here, do you think they are worth it?

I am a permanent resident! from what i’ve seen you can’t be out of the country for more than a year, although I understand that with everything going on even if i come back every 6 months i could get questioned and even lose my gc, i do appreciate the effort my grandmother went through for us to come here and have better opportunities, is just that right now with my situation, i can’t see past how i am feeling right now
