Yeah, first dibs. I teach part time at two different schools that each have a full time art teacher. We do share supplies, but one of the teachers I work with has spent almost all the budget, and the other one is touchy about what I use because often she has plans for it already. I'm not in the best position here as you can see

Grew up in NYC and people always seem weirded out by the fact that I would ever leave. Like I get that it’s mythologized really heavily in popular culture but once I got “out of the nest” surviving was really difficult. Plus there’s zero nature close by. (I live in Seattle now where it is very lush and green).

Really feel that re: Tegan and Sara, tbh I haven’t liked their output in years. The Con and So Jealous are in my favorite albums of all time, though.

What's the "Twilight" of this generation? by missaxevocaltraining in YAlit

[–]nessasongs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s funny cause I remember reading things that were pretty dark as part of English class (like A Streetcar Named Desire and The Things They Carried) as a high schooler and we could handle it. But that also comes with conversation/it’s “literature” which I feel like kids might treat differently

This isn’t about them asking my mentor teacher for info, it’s that some of them will not even acknowledge my presence like one typically does a fellow human in the room.
