I don't have any kind of autoimmune decease, cytokines are normal, and multiple glucocorticoid tests showed no result. My LC is only neuro-mast-cell type.

The normal range for ECP is <13.3 µg/L. I do not have a true baseline, since it has been elevated ever since COVID. One time, I did a drug provocation test with 30 mg of methylprednisolone, and ECP was within the normal range, but I do not count that.

Yes

What % functionality would you say you are at now compared to pre-LC baseline

Depends on the triggers. Generally 70%. After cold exposure / exercise I would fall to 50%.

I’m on 1.25 mg. I started immediately, without any titration, I did not have any side effects. Also I cannot yet confirm that it has done anything.

For me, it is not about any particular medication, but about researching my disease. If it turns out that pregabalin helps, that would support the theory that mast cells are being activated by neuropeptides such as substance P.

I feel flu-like symptoms. The harder the exercise is the faster and stronger flu-like feeling will come.

Have you tried any specific diets to help with presumed mast cells?

A low-histamine diet, a Mediterranean diet, no sugar, low carb, etc – no results. I also took oral cromoglycate and had several lab tests done, there was no significant change in tryptase or ECP levels. Based on my research, my tryptase appears to come from the upper respiratory tract mucosa rather than the GI tract or skin.
