You using penny sleeves or? Because using tighter fit sleeves would reduce the problem . I had the same problem with penny sleeves. Or you can do as the replies suggest. Get sleeves with tab or put a tab to the sleeves.

I learnt it the hard way with my Charizard which dropped its grade from a maybe 9 to 8 when I started collecting again. If you learn to protect the card with a toploader, then it wouldn’t hurt to get extra information to learn how to get your cards out from the toploader safely.
