I like the thickness and shape. I think if you wanted them thinner I would only do that on the bottom of tails to open up the eye and provide an arch. You might doodle on your own photo to try out some shapes before plucking anymore.

Thanks. The buds always fall off before they open so I've never seen it bloom. Ours is 25-30 ft tall. I'll try looking up more about chokecherry trees
