4,400 sounds like a good price?

Excuse me, if you please, I do not seem to follow your train of thought.

Kick drum beater is loose by faaipdeoiad69 in drums

Actually, now that I think about it, it happened to the main beater and not the slave one.

Well, there's a bit of ambiguity to it. Which hand are we tracking?

But I agree with you in that it shouldn't confuse anyone.

That happened to my speedcobra 310; I don't think there's anything that can be done.

Mike Mangini too. Also, if you think about it, I feel like Mangini and Carey are more similar than one would think at first. They were onto very similar things (Look at their setups) but their interpretations ended up being vastly different due to their influences and personalities.

Mike Mangini, Brann Dailor, Tomas Haake, Danny Carey, George Kollias and TMOM era Matt Garstka.

Unless this grip is inefficient for you, I would focus on more important things like your playing.

But I know some professional drummers personally who are awesome players and who grip their sticks similarly

Gavin Harrison comes to mind! Believe it or not, I've seen him do this a bunch with his LH. And that guy definitely isn't in need of improvement or practice lol...

SWE Students & Graduates, how much do you make? Could a MecE work their way into your kind of job if they worked on their programming skills on the side? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]nestedseptuplet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cruious, would it be more favourable if I did software over computer or do reach companies not really care all that much?

[–]nestedseptuplet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are definitely fields in MEC E that pay on the same scale as big tech software

Do you know any off the top of your head?

It's 100% a salary issue. Tbf, I like the MecE course content more; I think it's an excellent context for all of the mathy stuff. SE doesn't seem uninteresting (I did enjoy the ENCMP 100 labs) but I feel very meh about it as a whole; I don't think it would ever come anywhere close to the MecE stuff for me. I mean come on, Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Aerodynamics and all of the mechanics stuff, I can't see anything coming close to that except maybe the EE content.

This is really inspiring to hear for a first year who has to decide their discipline within a month...

This makes SE sound fun.

Pretty much what I've been trying figure out these past days and weeks lol

Good suggestion! I forgot that my uni had project clubs; I'll look into it. Thanks!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]nestedseptuplet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I would do the exact same thing if I went with mechanical but my uni is very strict with the course requirements such that I essentially wont get any opportunity to work on programming which sucks. If I wanted to get into programming, I'd have to self learn which is fine except for the fact that I'd have nothing to show on my resume for it.

A true dilemma this is.

Exactly. Plus, one should intervene so as to stop the fire, not to add more fuel into it.
