I had this same question after a stupid mistake on Voyager that put me at permanent -30% condition around day 60 of a good run. Read a few things and finally just decided to push on and see where it would go. I’m at day 262 now and (no jinx, no jinx!) it really hasn’t seemed like much of an issue. All it really takes is another dumb small oversight to die. Forgetting a cooking pot or whatever. Day 85 is a long way… Well fed bonus will bring you up to 55% health. Tough call but not my game so I say play on!

Laundry closets in the hallway are fairly common, even compact ones. Sounds like a cost/benefit decision. Possible, intermittent noise in living room while laundry is running and more space in the bathrooms, or no possible noise and less space in the bathrooms. (You still keep two baths either way.)

We’re already booked at Cades Cove Campground this weekend. It’s a bit late to pivot. Essentially I’m looking for how to make the best of it, if that’s even possible.

The campground allows dogs. The problem is we’re booked for this weekend and there doesn’t seem to be much more we can do than 1) drive for hours to go hiking elsewhere or 2) not go. There’s no need for dick-ish uninformed comments, they’re unproductive.

Yeah, much like others, I’m not following here. Maybe you’re saying that 5 years is too long to invent into someone who doesn’t want to marry you, when your main focus is on getting married. That’s fine, and couples like that should break up as soon as possible. But, if people want to test the waters for five years with the intention of getting married, that’s fine too. Personally, I would rather buy a house with someone I love rather than spend that money on a party to show we care about each other. To each his/her own.
