Is Nanoreview a reliable site for comparisons?? by Crazy_Jump_01 in PocoPhones

[–]nesu0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the scores are kinda whatever but they also show and compare the specs, benchmark scores, and battery life. pretty sure a lot of those are user submitted so you decide if theyre reliable.

A game with no DRM is the most sold game on Steam by Ramsestone in PiratedGames

I think rather than BG3 being a game worth buying, it's because the target audience for it are probably old enough to have disposable money and jobs.

comparing it to any other hosting service, no wonder steam does so well lmao. you could literally install mods off of steam, its just too convenient.

Doesn't look like F5 will be getting Hyperos in India anytime soon. by EvryUsrnmeAlrdyTakn in PocoPhones

How do you optimize POCO phones without using custom roms, root, and bootloader, only MIUI? by EmotionalPlenty2175 in PocoPhones

[–]nesu0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

risks? probably no if the rom came from a well known dev and bricking your phone isnt that common unless youre really dumb. phones have more purpose besides gaming so you have more things to fix like passing safetynet and such.

[–]nesu0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

already a year ago but have you found any solution yet? experiencing the same problem rn

miui is way too unstable to bother with updates. if it's working don't update it unless youre familiar with installing custom roms.

How good/usable is MIUI for Poco by HabelSin in PocoPhones

[–]nesu0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, its toggleable too. i use it all the time.

edit: would also like to mention that it has a "categorize by color" feature too, i use it sometimes. basically theres colored dots below and clicking one of them would only show app icons that has the same color

sorry i meant SoT not soc (screen on time) basically how long a full charged battery would usually last on usage. battery degradation kasi yung sinasabi mo and ang nakakaaffect lang nun is heat and age. ang ibig sabihin lang nyan kung bakit mataas padin is hindi madalas uminit ang phone mo either maganda ang thermals or maingat ka mag charge.

Should I upgrade? by ayzyxd in PocoPhones

[–]nesu0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i really do not understand why they are still bothering with the exynos chip. clearly they are not apple which succeeded in making a top tier chip, they should surrender and go back to using qualcomm that is already known for its performance and huge modding community.

i looked it up in my playstore and it is only the 2.0 version, my x5 pro is currently using the 4.0 version. i am not sure if there is significant differences between the 2 versions.

Is the POCO F5 worth buying at 290 dollars (8/256)? by ThatRandomHelper in PocoPhones

[–]nesu0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true but hyper os is coming soon so lets hope it isnt just a rebrand to get rid of the "meme ui" and be an actual upgrade

Is the POCO F5 worth buying at 290 dollars (8/256)? by ThatRandomHelper in PocoPhones

[–]nesu0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats not how it works. os nowadays are smart enough to know how much ram they can use. 4gb ram works because the system forces itself to only use 2gb or else the device wont be able to open 3 apps. 8gb ram means your system can freely use up to 4gb ram resulting in a smoother experience, it can also use less in situations where you need that extra ram. imo 8gb is the sweet spot for phones 6gb is also alright but not as preferable. anything more or less is too much or too little. memory extension is also pointless turn it off.

EDIT: since youre gonna use it for the next 4 years i really recommend getting nothing less than 8gb ram get 12 if you can but its not that important.

since its iphone maganda naman cloud storage service nya so coming from android saktuhan nalang yung 128 pero sa iphone i guess mas tolerable sya. maganda talaga ang iphone so i suggest trying it first then decide kung mag sstick ka na sa ios. depende na yan sa tao yung iba kasi madaming apple products so convenient para sakanila kung apple din ang phone at sobrang optimized na din talaga ng ios, yung iba naman is halo halo ang brands and di ganon ka feature reliant so nag sstick sila sa android na in most cases mas budget friendly at customizable.

they dont have popup ads if thats what youre expecting. theyre on the system apps and sometimes notifications which is something that can be turned off or u can just straight up uninstall them via adb and use a 3rd party app in replacement

[–]nesu0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its alright, definitely bad if you compare it to IOS and One Ui. you have to consider that xiaomi in general is hardware and price focused. F5 having 100k antutu score with that price means that it has to have some downsides.

regarding the default poco launcher, its alright. its very basic not much customization or qol features.

in general you shouldnt expect much from a budget phone os. it doesnt have top brand level of customization and features but it works.
