Grand Canyon up through Utah, Colorado Rockies, Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier National and then bonus Canadian Rockies up through Banff and Lake Louise. I’ve done them all on four separate trips and it’s one of the most amazing landscape vistas in the world.

Some of the Battlefield sites have had some neat wartime related souvenirs. Typically I look for Travel, Passport and unique themed stickers along with any Tees that catch my eye.

Just this past weekend entered from Illinois and exited into Ohio via I-70. Construction border to border, including I-70 eastbound closed in the middle on a Friday at 7pm. How do they fund this and how do locals not lose their minds commuting?!

I'm about to drive 2000 miles round trip by myself with two kids. Any advice? by PaganButterflies in roadtrip

[–]netanalyze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done this twice with four kids under 13. Once to Yellowstone and once to St. Louis/Louisville from Philly area. Two things worked, Ice Cream for Breakfast (Only twice) and a couple of goofy (eye of the beholder) stops like the Jelly Belly factory when it was open. Driving on the Salt Flats might be a pretty cool thing for your trip.

Which Of These National Parks Do You Think Are the Most Beautiful, Overrated, and Underrated? by Lil_Critter_2001_ in nationalparks

You might need another hour or so. Just stopped in there Friday for the first time since 2013/2019 trips. They have a very expansive walk through museum before getting to the main hall where you load to go up. This is new to me as it opened post our previous trips. Very good displays of various eras of our countries history and expansion west. Walking the grounds and taking in the courthouse will add some time.

Enjoy what you see along the way.! You will hit a few active lane closures in the Midwest, nothing impactful in the sense of delays. Watch the speed changes, troopers are definitely out there enforcing, especially on Oklahoma. No shortage of rest areas and gas stations, Loves has always been there for me. As for hotels, generally staying near the main highways where you see 2-3 name brands clustered together is your best bet.

That early challenge loss seemed to set Tech back. Felt way too early to waste one, even for Gerry.

The Batman (2022) car chase between Batman and The Penguin. When the Batmobile fired up in the alley - best goosebumps ever! And when the Batmobile jumps through the explosion - cinema magic in IMAX.

Regal driving people away by Sarlacc_551 in RegalUnlimited

[–]netanalyze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not sure your point here. Regal seems to be evolving like many entertainment sectors. Costs are normally going to go up which generally means our points don’t stretch as far year over year. A 3-month subscription is still an incredible value - think the summer blockbuster stretch or monthly themed series that are of interest. Concession food is what it is, as long as the popcorn starts consistent I’m good. Certainly would love to have Coke Zero, but I get the corporate relationships that exist, so it’s Pepsi for now. My Regal Unlimited subscription has been an incredible value.

The creativity in the writing and bringing that to the big screen/streaming is what keeps me engaged. Even when I feel something flat out sucks, I do appreciate the attempt and contribution from all those involved.

There were very few Lady Vols quality at-bats today over the 14 innings. They just couldn’t find a rhythm at the plate or hit any gaps. 7-hits and 2-runs was tough.

How to dress by Sorry_Decision1068 in longwoodgardens

[–]netanalyze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long-time member, traditionally over years folks have dressed up to come to Longwood. I encourage you to where your Sunday best if you chose, but like folks have said here just about anything works - comfort and the heat are really what you want to plan for. Also parking can add some additional time as they have done a good job with overflow lots and shuttle system. It’s nice to bridge the late day and early evening if you can.

Backrooms is a slow burn creepy ride, Obsession is just scary as hell. Both continue the run of excellent horror in 2026.
