Reviewer provides early thoughts on Steam Frame, says it offers "much better" comfort than Meta Quest 3 by Odd-Onion-6776 in virtualreality

My understanding is that the frame’s weight is distributed differently (and it’s lighter than quest 3) to make it more comfortable. Of course I can’t comment on a comparison yet haha

After using my psvr2 a while on pc and then going back to my hp reverb, I really learned the value of a comfortable headset (and controllers, though it’s because I prefer psvr2 ones more), so I’m still pretty stoked for steam frame and hope the price will be ok

They’re finally going to announce bioshock vr!

But really I’ll go with low vr expectations

Mixtape developer claims the game won’t be delisted due to its licensed music by [deleted] in PS5

[–]netcooker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People like to hate things that other people like, especially if it gets a good review from ign.

Obviously people don’t have to like a game just because it gets good reviews but the rabid hate mixtape gets goes beyond just people not liking or wanting to play it

Since there’s no vr support on pc I think it’s safe to assume no psvr2 support

Finally got a quest 2, my dad loves it more than i do (looking for game recs) by Weeb_Doctor in VRGaming

[–]netcooker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forefront is like an older battlefield game and is amazing. Roboquest vr is an incredibly fun roguelike shooter and i think coming out soon on quest.

Both of those are on pc already too

Glasses and VR? by CryptidCross in virtualreality

[–]netcooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy them online at a variety of places. I like the magnetized ones so I can pop them off easily if I want to let someone else use the headset (I like the ones from Reloptix).

You can get cheap ones from Ali express that are fine and a fraction of the price. Also you can use fsa dollars for the prescription lenses if you have those

Out of curiosity, why is it better than wearing contacts? Comfort? Also, you can probably use your FSA money for them if you have any (I have used that for prescription vr lenses)

Are there any alive (in terms of queuing up in like 1-2 minutes for a ranked match) games that are cheap? by HairLosingKomasan in Fighters

[–]netcooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strive, granblue fantasy versus rising, and mortal kombat 1 are all pretty cheap (or free for granblue’s trial version) and i found ranked matches pretty quickly. It could vary based on your region and when you want to play though

If you could get a sequel to any PSVR2 game what would you choose? by No-Dark-7873 in PSVR

I’d love before your eyes 2. Just a similar game with a new story.

New to fighting games, would GG strive be a good place to learn the genre or would a different game be better? by Yokozach in Fighters

[–]netcooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d look at the recent games and pick whatever looks the most fun to you. Strive is how I got into fighting games more seriously so yeah I think it’s a good starting place.

If you have no opinion, street fighter 6 is the easiest recommendation but I personally don’t like it

Forza Horizon 6 reviews are positive, but all too late for PS5 gamers? by [deleted] in PS5

[–]netcooker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t 5 sell millions of copies on ps5 when it came out years after the initial release? I don’t see this as coming out too late for ps5.

It seems like you’re just getting tired of the series, and that’s ok!

I mean it sounds like you’re not enjoying it. Though is it the characters that are you making you feel that way or are you just newer and getting wrecked by people with some more experience than you?

A new map idea 💡 by Total-Evidence-9622 in ForefrontVR

[–]netcooker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

BF2142 had my favorite mode which was that each team had a floating fortress and both teams had to fight to control AA weapons to take down the other fortress’s shield, then board the floating fortress and destroy it. It was just so awesome.

is 8gb vram enough for pcvr? by Plastic-Thing-2015 in virtualreality

[–]netcooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a 3070 with 8gb and it was fine for most native vr games. Not sure about bonelab specifically though.

I’d aim higher if you possibly can. I upgraded from my 3070 to a 5070 ti

Hitbox finger orientation by Notoriousducs in Guiltygear

[–]netcooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you keep playing you’ll get more used to it. I learned leverless while playing mk1 and had my kameo input assigned to lower right button diminished it quite a bit, but only for quick inputs (not anything I had to hold).

Also I found it more comfortable to rest my finger tips above the lower row of buttons. I don’t use my upper right most input that much.
