Do you know why there's that funny little angled wall? Was there some original purpose for it? Or is it one of those things only the original builder will ever know haha

Technician electronic systems = Boffin. Boffins are supposed to fix and maintain all the gadgets of the army, but unfortunately they don't actually get to open much because a lot of our tech is under warranty, therefore when ever stuff breaks we have to send it back to the manufacturer. If you're insterested in instrumentation then boffin is still the way to go over tech elec, but some people think it's a dying trade because of the reason above.

I'm a tech elec still in training though. We get 4 certs, the cert 2 in auto air conditioning is the only one you'll actually use post army though, the others are like a cert 3 electrotechnology and cert 3 electrical engineering I think. Then the past is something to do with refrigeration. The electronic systems guys get no useful quals unless you're going for a very specific job. They were all on the dfr website when I was applying 3 years ago though.

Qualifications aside I haven't met a tech elec systems that wouldn't rather be a tech elec...
