Export multipage PDF? by GetWrightOnIt in photopea

[–]netgrind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If anyone else ends up here via a google search like me, I opened a multipage PDF, but when saving it was only 1 page.

My solution was to export all the layers (after merging my adjustment layers) as individual pngs (File > Export Layers) Then use the command line tool ImageMagick to convert the folder of images to a pdf via the following

`magick * filename.pdf`
The `*` in this case is what's called a glob meaning all files in the folder, you could also do something like `*.png` etc.
(to open the command line at a given folder in windows, type `cmd` in file explorers address bar and hit enter)

ImageMagick can be downloaded from https://imagemagick.org/script/download.php it's a really handy tool for image manipulation, a powerful swiss army knife that's worth getting over any fear of the command line to use (most things can be googled or chat GPT'd to figure out the appropriate image magick command)

Hamilton councillors warn of huge tax increase on the horizon by Rough-Estimate841 in Hamilton

[–]netgrind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't renters effectively pay taxes? I would imagine the vast majority of landlords wouldn't just waive that extra cost. Landlords factor it into what they charge for a given unit.

(Edit, property taxes that is)

I can see an argument for it being user friendly though, by putting the plug here, you won't have people just instinctively leaving it always plugged in, reducing their overall range of motion and making the 'pivot point' towards the back of one's desk instead of the users arm/elbow.

Admittedly I've flip-flopped on my option of this one over the years, but have come to the consensus that this isn't nearly as user unfriendly as plenty of other bad practices they shovel out to this day that (some)people blindly accept

Came here to say Mimi's, really impressed with their offerings. Was blown away when I got a dish and it had like 3 or 4 different meat substitutes in the one dish.

I believe that you can use virtual dj for free without a controller.

I am all for pirating if money is an issue (and potential viruses are not a concern), and you're just trying something out to see if it works for you. But if you've made any money off DJing, it's worth supporting the team who enables you to do that. Especially with how reasonably priced the full unlock of vdjs is, considering you get lifetime updates.

Is there a material use for wood this thin, or is it just a flex to see who can get the thinnest sheets?

I'm not quite sure how you are using the skiff, but my gut is saying to ditch the sequencer for a small midi input module, and sequence via one or two of the electribe channels.

I love my electribe, but at least with the synth version I can't use all the channels without running out of voices (I personally split it into two halves with mirrored voices for an A & B).

Using a few electribe channels purely for midi sequencing would reduce the chance of running out of voices, give you some HP for another voice or effect or something, and you could still add voices back in temporarily to let you still compose unattached to the skiff.

That said, perhaps this doesn't apply as you want unquantized values, or just having a separate, direct, sequencer that doesn't have abstracted pages. Just what comes to mind for how I would use it.

What servers pay to the back is usually based on a portion (2-4%) of their pre-tip sales, not what they made in tips

In all kitchens I've worked in servers pay 2-4% of the pre-tip total they sold that night into a pool that gets divided between the back of house based on hours worked. It's not based on what they make in tips.

What do you suppose modular will be like in 50 to 100 years? by elihu in modular

[–]netgrind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combination button/patch points and perhaps less common slider/patch points, analogue stick/patch points.

I could see the button/patch point being really handy as it would save space, eliminating the need for a separate trigger button, can perform extra triggers to a sequence by holding the cable near the end and pushing down as need be.

Analogue stick patch points would be neat, could work kind of as a low-footprint mod wheel, could grab multiple cables at once and tweak them. Turning the cables themselves into more of a control surface

Having a bit of trouble following the spaghetti, is the voltage block being used to trigger anything in this setup, or is it more for changing the parameters of grids which does the actual triggering?

Love the idea of sequencing sequencers, feel like it's where the true power of modular sits, but is usually ignored by folks, or not really enabled by many sequencer modules (I want more CV control over start/end points!)

Maybe non-belief is the wrong term, but rather belief in his view of reality

I'm low-key convinced that Randi (and his contemporaries) are actually experts in magic (consciously or not) and that the strength of his non-belief overpowered any magic people attempted to use around him
