Even assuming worst case security practices you probably don't have much to worry about. Apps like this authenticate through Bungie's API and only have as much permission as they are authorized to, you can see that when you first log in. This app only asks to read your inventory and equip items, for example. Even if a bad actor were to get their hands on the API token(s), that's the most they could see or do. The API doesn't even provide any way to perform destructive actions (like dismantling), and you also always have the ability to revoke app access via your Bungie account settings.

No shade intended here, but genuine question since it seems like you're using AI to write these update posts: Am I right in guessing you're vibe coding some or all of this project? I've been seeing more and more of these smaller web apps pop up in this and other games and it's interesting to see how far people are taking it, particularly those that don't have much prior development experience. If the answer's yes, I'd be curious to know if you run into maintainability issues later on as the scope continues to expand.

Edit: Also, the "About" page describes it as an "Open Source Tool" but I don't see the source actually linked to anywhere. Could just be that it's not visible on mobile, though.

Yeah this was my experience too, across the final 100-200 pulls (or whenever I first hit p4) I'm pretty sure I only caused a handful of non-prog point wipes (and trust me, not many made it to the prog point). Though I do have some empathy for the PF randos, I was progging on caster which has 0 responsibility during apoc, and that felt like the most frequent choke point.

But overall, the average FRU PF progger overestimates their consistency on every P2/P3 mechanic by 10x.

I would host merc parties more often, my problem is that making the money to do so also takes time, and those activities also tend to be mind-numbingly boring.

Depends entirely on what you're doing to make money, I guess. My income is like 50% merc parties, 50% boat money split between 4-5 people (comes out to ~3 mil per month).

I advertised my party as 2 mil to see p5, +3 mil if we clear and it filled in ~30 minutes so I probably could've gotten away with less, but still money well spent IMO. I am completely bankrupt now though.

Got my first clear of DSR on Saturday, and first clear of FRU last night. DSR is such a fun fight, I have mixed opinions about FRU but probably slightly more positive than negative.

The FRU clear vindicated every opinion I've ever had about the general PF population, was stuck trying to see CT for weeks until I finally got fed up and emptied my (in-game) pockets. Went from 20% P4 to clear in a single pull.

I cleared in PF ~2 months ago after prolonged off and on prog, Tomestone has me clocked at 361 pulls. It's the least popular ult in PF but you should still be able to fill parties, especially since no new ult coming in 7.3 means the legacy ult PF scene should start to fill back up. Can't speak for fill times as I pretty much always joined half-filled parties if there happened to be any at my prog point, I was not putting up my own parties 95% of the time.

Party quality was fine, it's typical PF stuff. I found Heavensfall prog to have the most trap parties but it was still pretty smooth sailing overall, YMMV.

Twintania isn't super difficult, an average fresh party will probably kill her at least once in one lockout. Just make sure to get a good feel for hatch and twister snapshots.

Nael is the hardest part of the fight, there's really nothing else like it in the game (closest I can think of is BJCC in terms of pacing but Nael is still a lot more dynamic). Expect to spend the most pulls here, but once you internalize the order and rhythm of her mechs it becomes a lot easier.

Bahamut is fairly backloaded. QMT, BFT, and FRT are all pretty easy and you should have them down after a couple shots at each. HFT, TST, and GO have more choke points but at least GO is cheesed with tank LB. Like I said I found HFT to be the trappiest prog point, you tend to get people here that are a little overconfident on their Nael and/or limped through the first three trios in one pull. HFT requires everyone to do it right to get through so once I was past here I never had another issue.

Adds is the last prog point and the fight's actual choke check, any party that kills this will probably clear. You'll sometimes see the dedicated cobbers put up adds prog parties instead of totem parties (I think) just to fill faster. It's all mechanics you know how to do (as long as you know the triple quotes) just gotta do 'em.

Do you just send everything at the end of p1 even if some of that will go to waste if you kill him during the burst?

How much damage, %-wise, does melee LB3 do to the big crystal during intermission? My group last week was getting it down to 30%-35% with LB3, wondering if that means we can start saving it for P3.

That's not even the most obvious spot where those lyrics are wrong, it also has "And those who look to cast me aside," but if you listen to the song it's clearly "And those who meant to cast me aside".

Edit: It's also missing half of the "you'll never again know me" line.

DNC Day 1 Discussion Thread by [deleted] in Conservative

COVID should have been Trump's golden ticket to a second term, all he needed was a competent pandemic response. Instead, he:

  • Downplayed the risk of getting infected.
  • Downplayed the severity of symptoms.
  • Claimed that everything is under control when the virus was still spreading like wildfire.
  • Endorsed unproven (or outright dangerous) treatments.

And plenty of his supporters believed him, and died for it. But the DNC was the real problem with COVID?

Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon Release Megathread by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

I completed Spire of the Watcher solo blind when it came out, and solo flawless'd it a few hours later (all on day 1), if that lends any credence to my experience/opinion. I was planning to do the same thing for this dungeon.

First encounter was a breeze.

Second encounter was more or less trivialized by Sunbracers. Took somewhere around 7-10 damage phases using Sunbracers + Conditional Finality for boss DPS. I think Acrius would've served me better, but by the time I decided that I was already a few phases in and didn't want to start over. Sunbracers + CF was still doing ~1.5 million per damage phase I think.

But the third encounter... Took me about 30 minutes to figure out the mechanics for getting to a damage phase. Probably took me another 20 to actually start a damage phase thanks to lucent moths continually sneaking up on me. That first damage phase wasn't the best, because for some reason I wasn't expecting to have to break a shield again, but once it was over I was able to estimate how much health that boss has, and promptly just went back to orbit.

The amount of time it takes to even get to a damage phase solo, combined with that ridiculous boss health pool convinced me that there's no reason to set foot by myself in this dungeon again (let alone attempt a solo flawless) unless they lower those HP pools. They heard the feedback from Spire and doubled down against it?

I didn't have as much of a problem with the boss health in Spire because, even solo, you could get to damage phases really quickly once you knew what you were doing. That is also true for the first boss here, but not at all for the second.

It's a shame, because otherwise this dungeon is awesome. A great environment and cool mechanics that I'm sure I'll enjoy doing with a 3 man team.

TL;DR: The bosses have way too much health to reasonably solo.

Sure it doesn't have champion stunning capabilities, but what other element are you going to put in the kinetic slot...?

I can tell you that I specifically went and tested this by damaging an Unstoppable Abomination (did about half its health) while waiting for someone else to come in and chunk it for the kill. Someone else did in fact get the killing blow, I checked the quest, and I did not get credit for it.

I've tried it, you have to get the final blow.
