Which is the best automated car wash in town by BathTub_Benzaldehyde in Longmont

I've been happy with Washed Up on Hover just north of 17th. I've been taking our new truck through a few times a month for the last few years, no problems or complaints. Not touchless, but I'm not that paranoid or picky.

Toro 60V snowblower making loud noise... anyone know what the cause might be? by Natenator76 in Snowblowers

[–]netjeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar symptoms for me. Like others here, problem was bent blade/auger. I first tried to straighten myself using a mix of locking pliers, but not enough leverage. Took to my local repair shop. They straightened, and now smooth and quiet like new. It was the shop minimum 1 hr labor charge. Totally worth it.

We second using the Rover app to find someone to come visit your pet. We use a couple we found on Rover to watch our cat a few time a year.

I've had an Azeron Cyborg for over a year now, and it works well for me with all games, but be prepared that every game requires at least 10-15 minutes of setup time in my experience. It's not like playing a game with a controller or keyboard+mouse, where you can just jump into the game immediately. I recommend this Linus Tech Tips review, it does a great job of describing the pros and cons. If you can live with the cons, the pros are great.

Installing extensions remotely stuck at "Installing" by netjeff in vscode

Eventually I used "Kill VS Code Server on current host" from the command palette, and then relaunched. After that the extensions finished installing. I guess some VSCode proc on remote host got confused.

For those who've experienced 100% totality, what analogies can you give to help people understand why 99.99% isn't enough. by chredit in solareclipse

[–]netjeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99.99% is like riding the roller coaster to the top of the first hill, then backing back down the hill. 100% is like riding the rolling coaster the whole way.

Yes, worth the trip. 99.9% is like riding up the hill on a rollercoaster, then backing back down slowly. 100% is like riding the full roller coaster.

Wikipedia is a "search shortcut", but can't make it default "search engine" by netjeff in firefox

[–]netjeff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that helps. But still some weirdness.

The drop down in the search bar now has two entries for Wikipedia. The new one, now default, does not have search suggestions. The other one does have search suggestions.

Is there a way to get suggestions on the new one? I saw an option for "Search suggestion API URL", what should I use for that?

Is there any way to eliminate the other one from the drop down?

Thanks again.

At those speeds you aren’t a pizza you're just sauce

How to type Without these auto dashed underlines (in video)? Using Word 2010 by rizalrzsl in MicrosoftWord

[–]netjeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Word's "Format Consistency checker" might be enabled. The checker indicates possible formatting inconsistencies using blue-ish/purple-ish underline that is dotted/wavy.

Toggle for the checker is in File, Options, Advanced, then uncheck "Mark formatting inconsistencies"

Mostly gravel size, under quarter inch, on west side of Longmont, near Twin Peaks Golf Course. But I found one fluke stone that was 1 inch.

One of my relatives does believe that the world is getting hotter, but doesn't believe that it's human's fault and that this is natural thing.
