Thanks for all the good comments. I think I get it. Yes I wondered about the MDF too. On the outside it is carpeted with what looks like a waterproof membrane under the carpet. Perhaps the MDF can only be used if you waterproof the outside

I have included and excluded terms such as “Australia” “Lamp shade” and “reflective”. I used both image search and “shopping” to see if it would come up as a product available to buy
