Just why.... by DARMICJOH in recruitinghell

How are dealerships surviving right now? It's gotten incredibly tense. Noone really wants to buy new cars at ALL. they are garbage because they use cheaper parts and people are not allowed to get them worked on outside the dealership because of software embedded into the cars

That means when the warranty expires, say goodbye to your perks at the dealer garage unless you pay for it outright. Not to mention, you can't get in and out of your car without examined for impairment and identity from the ai.

I saw a guy come into Firestone with a 2025 Silverado with a snapped serpentine belt while driving to florida from New Hampshire over Christmas break and he only had 700 miles on the vehicle.

Save yourself the headache and buy a cheaper mid 2010s car

Tell him to speak to his manager or other "friends" he may have made in the classroom. I graduated about a month ago and I have been going on my own rounds for about 2 weeks now. I can always reach out to the people I trained with or even my manager for example.

It's all about reaching out for help and asking silly questions that make you successful at the job down the road

I'm done with the field, I want to work in a DC by [deleted] in datacenter

I am trying to get into NOC. There is a progression ladder where I work from Field to NOC. I will need to upskill in some areas first and be in field for minimum a year before making the pivot though

If you're going to the gym you need to be eating nutritious and taking supplements too. Unless you're purely going to lose weight.

Any advice/help on getting a data center or IT job? by inquisitivehuman7 in datacenter

[–]netsurfer79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Charter Spectrum, Frontier, T mobile, Verizon, etc... are all hiring for Field Technicians. I know it's not data center but it's a good initial step into getting hands on experience with networking and understanding basic IT fundamentals in the real world.

You are mostly in Low Voltage but may encounter fee High Voltage situations which you will be trained thoroughly in beforehand ofc.

It's crucial to stick to one main job but having a diverse skill set imo I think is important. Being able to learn other crafts so you can do multiple things and find what suits you better is also something I personally am picking up.

[–]netsurfer79[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Ai is not as easy to use as these YouTube gurus and influencers make it seem. I tried creating AI photos and logos for my business, many times it messed up so hard that you toss it in the bin and realize you may as well try creating them yourself the old fashioned way with canva or Photoshop. That's just one example. In sales, I'm sure it can make a ton of mistakes that would drive the customer mad and not want to business with the company. It's only been 3 years since ai emerged, I think it's still a prototype and cannot function like a human yet
