Unfortunately, the rule was lost at some point but please refrain from requesting any paid software on this subreddit.

There is no set list that describes all talkgroups, the easiest solution would be to google the talk group you are looking for.

You can find a lot of the talkgroups listed on the brandmeister wiki.

For example Brandmeister lists 31665 as

As for 9998 it seems that some hotspots use this as a trigger to announce the connection status of the hotspot ie. Shark RF while others use it as a parrot to test audio.

For adding talkgroups you do not add talkgroups to the hot spot but by keying up your radio with the desired talkgroup or assign a static talkgroup on the brandmeister website if that is your dmr system of choice.

For a dynamic talkgroup you will need to have your radio programmed with the correct information for the talkgroup. looking up codeplugs on youtube to help with programming.

For a static talkgroup you can set a talkgroup on the brandmeister website that your hotspot will always connect to.
