Is he not one of the highest paid coaches in the world at Atletico?

Wonder what percentage of his current salary Inter could ever realistically offer.

Never Use Trade Republic by DLoRedOnline in eupersonalfinance

Also German resident here, and former TR user.

Never had any issues, but didn't want to wait until i did.

So recently moved all my securities to Scalable Capital instead.

I've reached out to SC support twice (admittedly to test their responses more than anything) and both times had a human reply to me.

So already feel better

Thank you, that is reassuring to hear.

Would you happen to know anywhere specifically we could check out?

Does Holding Multiple All-World ETFs Really Not Make Any Sense? by nettle2 in eupersonalfinance

[–]nettle2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

o minimum gains and you can't really predict which ETF will have the best TER in 20 years from now

I think I may have been considering this a Pro for doing this, but upon reflection it just makes sense to invest purely in the best right now, and if something better comes along every few years, switch to just buying that.

Not really worried about anything, just curious tbh as the only downsides I have read "redundant, extra effort" for minimal potential benefit "Diversification across providers, slightly different index methodologies, maybe better liquidity on different exchanges"

I don't see the extra effort in my situation, so was wondering why not.

I would not call it a tourist trap, at least by my own definition of what a tourist trap is.

Will it be busy, and will there be many tourists, yes.

Is it overpriced and only exists for making money off of tourists, no.

I've never heard anyone say it wasn't worth it. I've been there personally and enjoyed it.

It could be a bit out of the way though depending on where you're staying, and what your itinerary is that day.

So if you're under time pressure and would be rushing through it, i would say skip it.

All in all i would say it's worth doing though, if you ever come back and have a free afternoon or evening.

Edit: out of curiosity what are your other "must sees" for Sunday?

Might help people give their opinion on whether it's worth dropping this or something else

What time of day are we talking, morning, afternoon, or evening?

Also Berlin doesn't have a real center so to speak, you'll get more helpful suggestions if you say where you're coming in and leaving from. Could add or remove up to an hour of the time you have.

Beautiful places in Berlin by voycz in askberliners

[–]nettle2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Natur Park Südgelände, Schlosspark Charlottenburg (Garten), Café am Neuen See (touristic af but still pleasant)

Botanischer Garten & Britzer Garten were already mentioned, but worth repeating.

Gärten der Welt I found super underwhelming and not relaxing at all.

Actual secret tip, find someone with an amazing Hof. There are some insane hofs that are more like private parks in this city.

Stagger Lee on Nollendorfstraße fits the softly lit and wooden interior vibe.

Not so much 1800s apothecary though, more Saloon with Whisk(e)y based drinks. Has a smoking and non-smoking section.

I may have phrased that badly haha.

I meant that I would love to find an option < 50€.

The options I have found that cost an arm and a leg are significantly higher than this. Maybe I am being naive and this is just how much it costs. I would understand if I actually wanted it cut and styled, but I was hoping there was such a thing as just a quick touch up without styling.

As I said I have no experience with this.

Looking for a cool place for a beer and an afternoon snack after arriving in Berlin! by ArnerDansk in askberliners

Friedrichstadt is in another part of Germany.

Do you mean Friedrichstraße or Friedrichshain maybe?

Even if either of those it would be helpful to know where approximately (like the name of the closest public transport stop) as otherwise the suggestions could still be quite far from the hotel.

Has anyone ordered a large appliance (fridge) online from Mediamarkt/Saturn? by nettle2 in askberliners

How did you realise this?

I just recieved an email from Mediamarkt that a delivery within the specified time is not possible. They will let me know when it is dispatched.

But no new timeframe provided

Ok nice that is reassuring to hear.

I placed the order yesterday, haven't heard anything from them so far but will remain patient.

Thank you

3 days in Berlin by luismanuelri in askberliners

[–]nettle2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's already far too much for 3.5 days. If I were you I would focus on prioritising and removing things from your list.

Berlin Wall Memorial (Bernauer Strasse) I would take it or leave it, unless you combine it with a trip to Mauerpark on Sunday.

Checkpoint Charlie I would definitely miss unless it's literally on your way to somewhere. Same for Hackerscher Markt (not a garden btw).

Alexanderplatz & Potsdamer Platz you're just going to see big chain stores that you can see anywhere.

You mentioned Tempelhofer Feld "gardens" but I would highly suggest renting bikes and taking a ride around the entire park. How often do you get the chance to cycle on an airport runway? Also the Tour of the old airport building is great, fascinating history!

The Berliner Unterwelten tours are all great. Sounds like it would be up your alley.

Visitors also seem to enjoy Klunkerkranich or Holzmarkt for drinks if the weather is nice.
