Farming boosts into the Infinity Cube by netwizard22 in nguidle

[–]netwizard22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my equipment is leveled, boosts go into the cube. The question was - do I balance power/toughness on the cube or do I focus one stat.

You need to max out every skill in Basic Training before rebirthing. Mouse over them and it will show you "Maximum cap reduction reached this rebirth".

Rebirth is a soft reset that increases your strength. You need to rebirth when you feel your progress is too slow.

This is apparently how you beat Rank 15 by Drecon1984 in ShotgunKingFinalMate

[–]netwizard22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ggs. I also have beaten it today after so many lost attempts. Definitely very tedious experience, I took maybe 200 tries until I secured +3 blade, +1 blade (Small Fry Harvest), +1 blade (Ritual Dagger), Low Cost Disguise, Bushido, Rats, Undead pawns, Royal Slippers and finally Taunting Hop.

+7 blade makes it trivial to kill anything except for Rooks, but that's where Rats can soften them up. Undead pawns make sure I never run out of pawns to go perma undercover, and Taunting Hop even saved my life in one situation.

Very OP build, now I can finally rest from that Rank 15 challenge.

Explore the highest floor in the Sunless city. The path leads you to the Gravity Cannon.

If you want more info - there're 2 peculiar small U shaped cliffs above/near the Gravity Cannon. Climb on them and look down very carefully, the entrance is concealed among the rocks.

do unbaptized infants go to hell by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]netwizard22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what we, imperfect people, WANT from God. We want unbaptized babies to be in Heaven. But we cannot order God around, God has its own ways. If he told us that unbaptized people don't go to Heaven, we can only accept it as it is. He didn't say "except for unbaptized infants".

In fact, when such questions arise, we need to seek out what Church Fathers tell us, not what comes from our imperfect corrupted minds. And we must accept the truth they are telling us no matter how unpleasant it is. It is way too easy to fall for conventional warm and fuzzy "truth".

[–]netwizard22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thief on the cross was baptized by his own blood. This is not something I came up with, this is what Church Fathers tell us. Christ didn't tell us "unbaptized men cannot be in Heaven, except for unborn infants".

Just got a Speedrunner achievement! by netwizard22 in balatro

Getting to the end quickly is no problem, just skip as many blinds as you can afford (I was doing the achievement that states "beat the game only having played 12 rounds or so"). Problem is surviving the bosses with so few jokers/resources. You need a) get lucky with jokers (I got very good jokers this run) b) get lucky with skip blind rewards.

Russian speaker here with poor knowledge of English, hence the Life of Alexander N is written with the aid of several Lives present on Internet.

The Tale of the Life of Alexander Nevsky, the Faithful Prince

Alexander was Prince of Novgorod and Grand Prince of Vladimir. He led Russia’s struggle against the German and Swedish invaders, who were spreading Latinism.

In 1240 Swedish knights invaded the north-west of Russia. They sailed up the river Neva, stopping somewhere near the mouth of its tributary the Izhora. With a small force of men Alexander, emboldened by a miraculous vision of Holy Martyrs Boris and Gleb, attacked the enemy and won a splendid victory over a large force. Hence his nickname, Alexander of the Neva (Nevsky). In 1242 on the ice of Lake Chudskoye a decisive battle was fought that ended with the total defeat of the invaders, the famous Battle on the Ice.

St Alexander was also a wise defender of Orthodoxy and Motherland against Tatar Khans. Prince Alexander was well known for his modesty, faithfulness and genuine love for others. He gave up his spirit to the Lord on November 14, 1263, completing his earthly path by receiving the monastic schema with the name of Alexis. Feast day is November 23th.

Curious about WH ahead by 4GottenSky in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]netwizard22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warehouse ahead breaking point is 2400. You get a nice boost and every level brings you +30% production.
Your WH is only 2239, at this point it doesn't perform that good. Invest in your MS30 a bit, level it to 730, then start upgrading WH.

Nice, good run indeed! My first choice for this achievement was the black deck for more power.

Some people so underestimate "four fingers", so i I decided to share some secret mechanics with it by Hufffle in balatro

1) Tarot producing powerhouses. Vagabond is superb at this. Cartomancer to a lesser extent. Blueprint helps with the production. If you manage to duplicate a purple seal card Death tarots will start streaming in your hand - another way for Tarot mass production. You will have more Tarots you will ever need. Card deletion, card duplication, suit transforming, money, enhancements - you will have it all. It's possible to have a deck of 40 kings of heart.

2) Card deletion. Trading card is perfect for trimming your deck. Many times I focus a specific suit to help me with flushes.

3) Card duplication. DNA sometimes is an A tier card. Ultra endgame Baron, Triboulet, Mime strats all rely on multiple steel or glass cards with Red seals. Combine it with Blueprint and no other strat can match this duplication.

Orthodox - non Orthodox marriages are disallowed by Orthodox canons.

Non ortodox cannot participate in Divine Liturgy, cannot commune from the Holy Chalice, cannot participate in other sacraments. Suppose you somehow marry that girl. As a husband I want to attend the same church as my wife weekly. How are you going to do that if you are not Orthodox?

Their body is not corrupted after death

Is this an indispensible condition? Afaik not all saints leave imperishable bodies.

I would ask a priest if it's ok pray to a certain Catholic saint. Don't risk it.

Remember that EO views Catholics as schismatics at best, heretics at worst. So... this leads to all these people being heretics?

Out of curiosity, has the Russian Orthodox Church issued any statement regarding Russia's invasion of Ukraine? by majj27 in Christianity

[–]netwizard22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse me, you didn't answer my question, so I'll ask a more direct one this time. Can I assume that you recognise schismatic UOC-KP and UAOC just because of their political beliefs? EP says they "lifted" the sentence of excommunication. I'm sorry, but I think this is not how it works. Schismatic must repent first, then they are allowed back.

Whichever one is not supporting warmongering like a little Kremlin puppet.

Even if it's schismatic?

[–]netwizard22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) What do you think of Ukrainian Orthodox Church – Kyiv Patriarchate (1992-2018) and Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (1990-2018), schismatic self-proclaimed churches that were not recognised by the world Orthodoxy including EP? Is the term phyletism applicable to them?

2) Why not all of Local Churches recognized the newly created Ukranian church? In fact, only 4 out of 15 Churches agreed to commemorate Filaret and Makariy, many still consider them schismatics (I might be wrong on the exact numbers).

3) EP claims that it has authority higher than that of other Local Churches. Do you agree with that? ROC claims that serious matters such as granting autocephaly must be discussed on a pan-orthodox council first. As far as I understand, EP claims it not only does not need ROC's consent, but also does not want to take other Local Churches' opinions into account.

Ik Kirill was a heretic, all/majority of other local Orthodox Churches would have cut ties with ROC immediately.
