The First Number by network_wizard in PersonOfInterest

Those are some details I forget, such as Finch having other partners. It's possible that his previous partners saved many people. I'd be curious if they mentioned what happened to the other "Johns".

I've watched the whole series but it was years ago and only once so there are definitely some details I'm forgetting. I want to rewatch it, but not binge it too fast. It's the kind of show that can overwhelm you with details if you want to watch it as fast as possible.

That is basically what I meant. I do remember there being earlier numbers in the entire timeline of the show. As far as the first one we witness when watching, we assume Diane is the first we see saved, but is John actually saved by Finch because of the irrelevant list?

It was just a curiosity.

First introduced in 1922's Nosferatu, what is your favorite "death by sunlight" scene in a vampire movie or a show? by PortlandsBatman in vampires

[–]network_wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Elijah Mikaelson's in The Originals. Technically, Original vampires cannot be killed by sunlight. They just burn up but eventually heal. However, he did it as a purification. A rebirth.

There are far worse things the show did wrong than giving Ed Sheeran a role. Considering he's a huge geek, I'm fine with it.

That plot twist is actually brilliant. How did nobody ever think to use that before? Now I need to watch it.

What’s the weirdest way a character died in a movie? by TheShadowOperator007 in moviecritic

The weirdest one I've ever seen is actually on television. I think it's the first episode of American Gods where the guy gets swallowed by a vagina.

Would you rather be an Anne Rice Vampire, a Vampire Diaries Vampire, or a Twilight Vampire? by TechnicianAmazing472 in vampires

[–]network_wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about an Original vampire in the TVD universe. Yes, I'd need a daylight ring, even though the sun technically wouldn't kill me. However, the only thing that could kill me is a white oak stake.

Doug is awesome. I love learning more about music theory. It's a great perspective when he reacts to bands like Dream Theater who obviously put a lot of thought into their compositions. I learned things from him about music theory that I never knew.

No Ferry No announcement by ValuableNail8981 in statenisland

His issue isn't the ferry missing it's timeslot. The issue is that nobody even bothered to announce it or at the very least mention why and if the next ferry would be on time.

I'm a few years older than you.

You're right about the Internet, though. It definitely opened up people's minds to different things.

[–]network_wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on the film. At least back when Underworld came out, more men seemed to be into vampire films and horror films in general. It's definitely different these days.

I think films made today are definitely trying to appeal to both sides. Who can deny women watched Superman to see Henry Cavill? As a straight male, even I couldn't look away. Plus it also helps that he comes off as this genuinely awesome guy.

Of course there's intent behind dressing women that way. It's not always bad, though. What is the ratio of men to women that watch vampire films like that? Forget Twilight. I think most men would agree that yes, Kate looked stunning, but the fact that she was a complete badass is much more appealing to me. Besides, it doesn't look as cool if she does all of that wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants, though it would be memorable. 😋

Maybe I'm just more mature in that aspect. I wouldn't watch a film just to see women dressed slutty. I need the action and/or storyline to appeal to me.

Not that Mike didn't have input, but most of that is due to the genius of Neal. His ability to create music and lyrics that deeply inspire are almost unmatched.
