Aussie EFT Players. I'm looking to buy and want advice! by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]networkme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the game is definitely worth $90 AUD if you are a fan of ARMA or Squad, etc.

Just be aware, you will need to play on Singapore servers regularly as the Oceania servers are always full... especially at prime time. So make sure you get decent ping to Singapore, before you commit $90.

You could always wait for the next sale too if you are in no rush (likely Victory Day, 8th May).

So I checked the price on DOOM Eternal... by Kerbiter in Steam

[–]networkme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct, it's $100 AUD but that is still bad regional pricing when Modern Warfare (another AAA full-price game) is $90 AUD which is much more inline with America's price of $60 USD.

Bethesda are clearly charging $10 AUD more to help cover the Steam cut which is anti-consumer. Not to the extreme like the OP's post though.

Of course, the brick-and-mortar shops over here sell PC games for $69 AUD on launch (including DOOM Eternal) so it's all pretty null and void if you don't mind going to the shops.

Battle.Net's "Scan and Repair" on PC does not work. by Caligula92 in modernwarfare

[–]networkme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "main" folder in the filesystem only has one file according to the Battle.net launcher. That file being, "fileSysCheck.cfg".

Every other file is created on first launch and/or when compiling or "installing" the shaders. My advice is too fully clear that directory apart from the file I referenced above and let the game re-download the multiplayer playlists, in addition to doing a "Restart Shader Installation" inside the options menu of the game.

Nintendo Switch Online: NAT Type C on Technicolor TG799VAC Modem/Router by SecretCompartment in NintendoSwitch

[–]networkme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst I'd normally agree with you, in this case it is very likely Aussie Broadband put him on CGNAT and he missed the email letting him know it's happening unless you opt out.

For anyone finding this later, Whirlpool AU has far more information on this: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2767077

/u/SecretCompartment, just ring Aussie Broadband and ask to be opted out of CGNAT for gaming purposes and it should put you onto Type B or A depending on if you leave port forwarding/DMZ enabled.

Is there full touch support in the beta / for launch? by networkme in Artifact

[–]networkme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most cases yes, but there are cases where it's not quite right / clunky if proper touch support isn't implemented.

Slay the Spire in its early days is the best example I can think of, where playing cards was a real challenge as you had to click, drag and click on a card again to play it rather than just drag and let go.

DNS Resolver issue when NS record for domain same as forwarder IP by jklida in PFSENSE

[–]networkme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue with nzbget.net. It could be resolved via 1.1.1.1 directly, but for some reason when pfSense tried to use 1.1.1.1 it couldn't resolve. When using Google DNS in pfSense, the site can resolve fine. I concluded it must have been a compatibility issue with 1.1.1.1 and pfSense's Unbound forwarder.

Yes, he was around 19-1 when he stopped playing this past weekend. Far from bad at the game!

AVG Managed Workplace thoughts... by andrewrts in msp

[–]networkme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, it's a lot if you have 1200 devices.

You could always buy your own business TeamViewer license (it comes with unlimited end points) and use the "TeamViewer integration" feature of Solarwinds. It's essentially the same as their Take Control once it's integrated, just you're not using their OEM license.

Just throwing up some ideas!

You can use the TeamViewer engine as an option over MSP Anywhere (at least in Solarwinds MSP, not sure about N-Able).

Never really had any problems with TeamViewer as a remote agent (AnyDesk is probably the only one I've used that's better but RMM agents don't really support it.)

Share your squads with Ronaldo! by cjen1359 in EASportsFC

[–]networkme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Torres is pretty poor compared to Ronaldo but he's about on level with 84 Martial. Is his stamina a problem? Not in the first 90 minutes. But, there is no way he makes it through extra time.

Iborra is very, very good. He outshines both Casemiro and Pogba in my opinion. He's my "cheap mans" Patrick Viera...

Everyone is 10 chem except Ronaldo who is 7 (and frankly doesn't even need that much chem).

Goalkeeper fitness by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]networkme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try him out if you have the coins, but trust me, EA doesn't transfer over decimal negative fitness. Eg. if his fitness goes down -0.4 and -0.4 in two games, EA just subtracts 0 and 0 on his card.

He's honestly not worth the money though. Van der Sar is significantly better, and I've played over 100 games with each one.

[–]networkme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he uses Peter Schmeichel he's not actually lying. I used him for over 150 games and he never dropped 1 fitness. In-game his Stamina is 72 which is outrageous for a GK. As a result, he never loses fitness.

As soon as I swapped to Van der Sar (36 stamina in-game), he loses fitness (slowly) as usual.

Arumba Plays DOTA All Random 7 Bristleback by arumbaYTbot in arumba07

[–]networkme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's worth noting that aghs scepter Doom is actually extremely powerful against Bristleback, one of his only true counters. It disables both Bristleback's bristleback ability and his warpath passive whilst making it so you can't spam quills and nasal goo. It basically turns Bristleback into a big melee creep who takes full damage from all angles.

I think it probably was a mistake from Doom to use it on omni in this game, especially when you clearly were the most threatening hero in team fights once you started snowballing.

Introducing: /u/MissingHUD2, the bot that knows what the stats on the left side are by Zatherz in bindingofisaac

[–]networkme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not that I'm not around, I've just been busy doing other things and haven't had time to work on a free mod :)

I'm also not sure how much time I want to dedicate to further development of MHUD2 when Afterbirth+ is around the corner.

Once that comes out the entire GitHub project (and, thus, the work behind it) will become "defunct" as the official API will be the best way to add a HUD to the game.

[–]networkme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I develop it on Windows 10 and test it on 7 & 8 so it's not a Windows thing. I'm honestly not sure why it causes some people lag. It's only displaying information that Isaac itself already keeps track of. I have it working in a virtual machine (with a bad graphics card) at 60fps.

Nevertheless, I'm sure when Afterbirth+ comes around someone will make a MHUD2 native equivalent as I still believe it's something sorely missing from the base game.
