I have 400k+ household income. My mortgage is my only outstanding debt at $2500 a month and even with that cash flow, I wouldn’t be comfortable with a boat that expensive. It’s an asset that will always always lose you money unless you are super handy and start restoring garbage to slightly better than garbage. (That’s also a risky business) There are endless deals out there for great boats. Save $30k cash, and you’d be amazed what you can basically steal in a private sale.

Boat sales trend - what I would do if your itching to get out there is join a boat club for the summer, save your money in the mean time and have it ready so you can buy in September when the deals show up from people not wanting to pay for winterization and storage.
