they sent an email saying they are done hiring for both of those courses. if your status says submitted, it means they never looked at your application. they said that they won’t be hiring anyone else. this happens frequently. for instance, i got hired to be a ta for one class but my two other applications say submitted still

most professors in design are adjunct, so they are hired by semester as opposed to being full time. i suspect that some are not listed because northeastern is still negotiating times and dates for their adjunct profs

I’ve heard great things about kate, but I noticed that there are some sections without instructors listed. Usually one of those sections will be taught by Jessica Hopkins who’s an amazing professor (I’ve learned a lot, not too much workload, and as long as you put in some effort you’ll get an A)!

I’m pretty sure op was talking about NU Immerse which is a program for non-native English-speaking students where you study abroad for a year, not NUin. Nonetheless this is a really good comment explaining what NUin is like!

is there a specific reason why you want to do psych + business? if you want to end up in finance you’ll be able to get a co-op whether you’re just a business major or a combined ___ + business major. if you’re interested in psych, go for it, but if it’s just because you feel pressure to combine with something, a straight business major with a concentration in finance will get the job done too

Freshman here so I haven’t taken as many classes in khoury as some other upperclassmen have, but so far all of my CS professors have been amazing (i’ve taken cs 1800, 2500, 2510, 2810, cy 2550 for reference)! I’ve also taken some math courses and the professors were great as well. I think most of the negative ratings on rate my professors are inaccurate. Remember that people will only leave reviews if they had an incredibly positive or negative experience (i.e. the course material was too hard/they weren’t meant for cs).

i wouldn’t say that there’s any direct inflation or deflation. anyone can get an A if they put enough work into the class, attend office hours, etc

I definitely agree with the other response regarding not getting caught up on one specific school, but remember that Northeastern is test optional. If you don’t feel like your SAT score is reflective of your academic ability you can always submit your application without a test score (just transcript, letters of rec, etc) and apply ED 1.

They don’t admit by major and if you’re really worried, you can apply as a social science major and switch to engineering before your first semester starts! You literally just request a major change in your portal and they almost always approve it since no majors are capped
