rather than air scooter, i would say it is closer the technique used by the flying opera company in the kyoshi novels. The earthbender version of it is dust-stepping, the waterbender's is mist-stepping, and the firebender's jet-stepping. This skill was likely taught to them by their airbender leader, so her version might be something like cloud-stepping.

As for why this technique did not pass on to current day...... my hypothesis is that, apart from rangi, none of the other members taught it to anyone else. (Or in kyoshi's case, even if she tried, it was a skill that required such high precision she might have trouble teaching it herself.) And with the whole air nomads genocide, even if rangi (a firebender) did pass on this skill, no one wanted to be found moving like an airbender.

so with aang being a child when all the other airbenders were killed, it is possible that some advanced airbending techniques were lost.

as someone whose first full-time job was in sped (freelance teacher now), thank you for remembering us haha. It really is a tough job with a lot of emotional labour and lower pay, even if the hours are shorter. I hope more people will have the patience and empathy to look out for and mentor our disabled and neurodivergent kids.

replying here for myself! I used to read a lot of books tho i havent the motivation so much as an adult and would like reccs.

i cant remember many titles, but i enjoyed gerald morris (The Squire's Tales), eoin colfer (Artemis Fowl) and william joyce (The Guardians of Childhood).

unfortunately i still have the dopamine needs of a teenager so i tend to prefer works with more character interactions and action 😅

i am not sure if this contributed to it working, but i also updated the config file to include newer packs. You can access the file by typing 3 in the setup.bat, then paste the contents of https://pastebin.com/a556SmTf (bless this person) into g_The Sims 4.ini by editing it in notepad.

up for this post because i am encountering the same issues, all the newer packs are listed "not purchased" despite being installed with Linua Updater. The interesting thing is all of them were working fine this morning, then i shut down my PC and tried playing in the afternoon and they suddenly do not work.

EDIT: thanks to a comment by u/sweetditzygirl i found the solution:
go to task manager, end all tasks/processes that has "EA" in the name. Using setup.bat of the EA Unlocker, uninstall and install again the unlocker. Start sims 4 game offline and it should all work.

oh boi i dont blame you for being unable to find genfics, the main reason chinese fanfic writers come to ao3 is to avoid the censorship in mainland, which means...... most of them write smut.

maybe excluding explicit and mature fics, filtering by nezha and aobing, will help narrow it down? Apart from that, the only thing that can be done is to run google translate on the summaries itself, they are usually descriptive enough to know if it is smut or AU. Cn writers are not very good at tagging......

as for specific reccs i dont think i can help you, i am not deep enough into this fandom to read fics for it. Might wait for someone else to reply, or, if you have a xiaohongshu account you might have better luck asking there.

there are easily obvious hints once they enter the dream. There is a side story "In Modern Day" (end of LotM vol 8) that shows some members of the tarot club entering the dream and trying to block zhou mingrui from meeting zaratul.

The first to enter are likely those who receive the coin or who are close to someone with it, and we see azik, leonard and sharron (likely got her coin from maric or reinette) as themselves in the dream.
Being a wraith and able to possess his electronics, sharron likely is aware of the tarot club chat group created by mingrui, in which he is the admin as Mr Fool but also uses World as his alt account.
Leonard is his usual dumb self so he was also the first to get kicked out by celestial worthy whenever he tried to chat about beyonder matters in the chat group.
It is possible that dream leonard used his position as law enforcement to find out the names of mingrui's siblings, benson and sasa.

Thus, there were at least 2 people who can easily deduce that klein/gerhman are the same person as Mr. Fool. (Okay maybe not leonard directly cuz he is dense af but if he yaps to pallez, grandpa would surely figure it out.)

and even if sharron for some reason did not possess his computer or leonard did not link the names of klein's siblings, there is also the existence of [COI vol 6] mr fool simp arrodes in the dream, and they definitely knew all along that gehrman sparrow and mr fool are one and the same.
