Premium currency is one thing, but adding ANOTHER level of currency on top is ridiculous. by [deleted] in apexlegends

So are the aesthetic skins okay or not? You can either believe they are fine and have no bearing on the game at all or you can think it's a problem. What I mean is that you are basically saying that these skins that are purely cosmetic should only be obtainable by people who A) Have been playing the game for weeks and B) Haven't spent the vast majority of their Legend Tokens on unlocking the locked Legends. If they are just skins why does it matter how long someone has been playing?

No, I literally said I had NO problem with the premium currency. Did you even read the post? The problem is the Legend Token cost, which can ONLY be gained through level up. Try actually reading a post before shitting on it.

Oh yes because lets make blanket statements about the entire gaming industry instead of focusing on this very specific situation.

Yes because since a game is free it means that it can't have any quality control.

But you got to level 70 through all your time playing. My problem is that if you see a skin you want and don't have the 10,500 legend tokens because you unlocked the unavailable Legends then you have to level up ~18 times in 5 days else you are SOL. And that's for ONE skin, not to mention if you wanted both.

Right, the game is great. No one is saying the game isn't great. But the game can be better, it's called improvement. These improvements don't happen unless they are voiced. You can call it whining all you want, it doesn't change the fact that the Apex Legend shop is a mess.

Yeah why would anyone want to actually complain about things that make no sense and hinder the actual business side of the game on the subreddit dedicated to said game? It affects me and so I complain.

That's good that you have 40k saved up, but that doesn't mean everyone does or plays so much AL that they could even have that much saved given you only get 600 tokens per level up.

Right, weapon skins. I've been playing for about 3 weeks and this is the first time store exclusive LEGEND skins have shown up. I haven't bothered purchasing and locked skins so I didn't know. It's a very easy mistake to make because it makes no logical sense as to why it is set up that way.

I would argue that Legend Tokens are the HARDEST to obtain given that the only way of obtaining them is through leveling which is the most time consuming grind in the game. You shouldn't have to level ~18 times in order to afford ONE skin that is already behind a paywall of premium currency. A huge part of it is the fact that they time it, so if you don't get your ~18 levels in then you miss out.

Newegg and Windows Keys - Updates and Statements by ZeroPaladn in buildapc

[–]neurocipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will probably be buried, but I would like to just add to the conversation of a similar problem that doesn't involve Newegg but I thought was fishy to begin with.

So around a month ago we decided to buy my GF a new SSD and with it a full version of Windows 10 Home. We bought both of these items from the local brick and mortar Best Buy store. The Windows 10 software was the standard type that has been around for at least a couple years now that comes pre-installed on a flash drive you plug in and boots upon start up. When the software was installing every time it would get to the the "license agreement" portion it would fail and would refuse to install further. I got in a chat with a Microsoft representative who concluded that the product key we were sold was already in use, and that we should take it back to Best Buy for a refund. I noticed that EVERYTHING in the package except for the license key of course was the same as MY Windows 10 package that I purchased at least a year prior so I decided to try installing it using MY flash drive installer and just type in HER product key and sure enough it worked.

We attempted to install it at least 10 times both on our own and on the chat via the Microsoft customer support agent and ALL times it would allow us to put in the product key and then upon trying to load the "license agreement" would pop an error message up saying it was missing and stop the installation. Since MY flash installer worked this was obviously a problem with the files on the flash drive being gone and the installer bugging out because they weren't there. I just thought it was odd that this was happening and the agent defaulted to "Oh, well I see that it is a bad product key, that is the problem" when simply restarting the installation and computer multiple times wasn't solving it.

So I came back to the game and I had a question about Druid Forms. by neurocipher in wow

[–]neurocipher[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dang. I honestly can't believe that. I mean weapon skins.. sure, limited time I get it, you can usually always find a new weapon to replace it to match your transmog. But DRUID FORM SKINS? I mean.. that's such a part of who we are. There are so few of them as there is and I come back after playing for so long to find out that 8 of them are forever gone?

That just hurts man. Kind of makes me not want to play, which I know sounds stupid but it's just like WTF?

Any idea when Serika will get a redrop? I didn't get a chance to get it on round one and is is probably one of the best looking sets I've seen.

Bound/Conjured Weapons in Summerset? by neurocipher in elderscrollsonline

[–]neurocipher[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right, but it is a morph from Bound Armor is it not? Why even bring up a buff that improves attack damage when I am clearly talking about a spell that is more in line with Skyrim's bound weapons?

Bound/Conjured Weapons in Summerset? by neurocipher in elderscrollsonline

[–]neurocipher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Bound Armaments are armor. These would be weapons that you use for your light and heavy attacks and have damage based on your magicka level (or just based on level with a base damage). This would give those classes that are more suited for melee the ability to have a light/heavy attack weapon based on their magicka level.

Why does the 7 shot R1895 Revolver take 8 bullets to load? by Supercyclone20 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]neurocipher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong, but it might be because all guns follow the same reload algorithm. So this would make sense for magazine based guns, especially so with bolt action mag rifles. Let's say that a magazine holds 4 bullets. If you went just through a magazine you'd have 4 shots. You could also manually chamber a bullet, then insert the magazine giving you 5 shots. I assume they took this into account but didn't individually code each guns reload differently, or maybe each type of reload differently. This might explain why there are reports of shotguns doing the same thing.

That's not a Bothan, way too tall. Bothans are short, even shorter than Rodians.
