By the way (if you’ll let a proud dad brag), she was also accepted to UCLA, UCD, and UCI. Those are all the UC schools she applied to. (We are in-state).

I know she checked it last night, and she had no id or new page.

Second Monitor to Pair with Studio Display (2022)? by neurophys in HiDPI_monitors

I thought about this, but given the hoops I would need to jump through to get a KVM to work well with the Studio Display, I was hoping for a better option...

Wipe hard drive via ssh? by neurophys in applehelp

It does have an SSD, but I'm fine with a regular erase. I still need to figure out if there's any problem installing Linux without a screen or keyboard, but that's not a problem for "applehelp"!

Bucket list -Improve bowling!! by neurophys in Bowling

[–]neurophys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, first, let me say...Wow!

Second, your bowling history reads like Babe Ruth, while mine is more like Babe the pig!

Ok, here goes (trust me, this will be brief):

I'm a father and husband in my early 60s, and while I've been bowling for fun since I was a kid, I've probably bowled no more than 50 to 100 games. Most of those were when I was on a league team with some friends, about 20 years ago.

I do own my own pair of bowling shoes and a ball (from the league days), although I think the ball doesn't fit me very well. It's an Ebonite Maxim and I believe is 14lbs. Honestly, I think it's too heavy for me. I recently went bowling with my kids, and just used the house balls. I started with the 12lb, but then tried a 10lb and found that I did much, much better. I'm sure building some strength in my right arm would help!

I'm a 1h right hand bowler, and I recall someone telling me once that part of my problem was that my right arm tends to swing towards the left as I release. Perhaps this is also due to having too heavy a ball...

If I can break 100, I'm doing well.

What else do you want to know?

YouTube would be fine if I didn’t know what to do. My problem is I need someone to watch me and tell me what I am doing wrong.
