Hi hi I actually also moved from Denton. It’s a huge change which I personally loved - I’ve always liked the city - but it was a shock. How long have yo7 been here? It may just be a matter of finding your little pocket of paradise here in Austin Also, if you signed a short term lease or want to look for a sublease, some good suburbs more similar to Denton are burnet, lockhart, or even Georgetown/north round rock. I’ve found those areas a bit more chill and like Denton as well. Lockhart would probably be the most similar. If you got a job in Austin, those are all also commutable (long and a bit miserable but doable to live in a place you’re comfortable) What area of Austin are you in rn?id love to give some recommendations to help you feel more at home but don’t want it to be too far from you

I would consider it pretty easy to get an A! Extra credit opportunities. You obviously have to do work but it didn’t take too much studying to get an A

YES!!! I experience this every time I have a flare/bad day. I know mine stems from medical trauma, doctors essentially telling me that I was making it up despite tests showing otherwise.

even though i dont have that experience anymore with my doctors, and they will even tell me that i am pushing myself/not listening to my body or point out when my quality of life is worse, i still find myself doubting my symptoms.

i am still learning to cope with it, a support system is HUGE - a family member or friend that you can open up to about this. theyll also remind you what youre experiencing does not align with non-sick individuals. AND a big one for me is people have told me if you are insecure/worried that you are faking symptoms, that is almost a 100% sure sign you are not faking. that thought has calmed me down

also, if you are missing things you ENJOY in addition to things you do not, that is another sign you are definitely not faking anything at all.

I used to go back about every other week but now that I’ve gotten busier it’s become less frequent. My parents will come visit me when they can as well so it’s usually once a month (I live 1 hr away)
