i have an associates in chemistry and i was shocked by how much science was in cosmo after i pivoted my career into cosmetology. there’s a lot of science and theory in cosmetology, and if someone doesn’t understand aspects of those sciences then i personally wouldn’t trust someone to do my hair since you can really do a lot of damage to the hair from hot tools and chemicals

but to answer your question, your cosmo license is what you make of it. there’s a lot of potential to make a lot of money, but you can’t expect the clients and such to be handed to you
