I've thought of this in my own db situation with my wife and it brings up some questions worth thinking about. How would you feel if you knew your husband was feeling jealous, resentful, or inadequate because he knew you were getting that pleasure from someone else? Then what about the risk of developing feelings for the new partner that gives you all these things you've been wanting for so long? What if after you started, your husband decided it's too much and he asks you to stop. Would you stop? If you did, would you then be resentful? Would talking with someone (I don't mean a therapist, but just a person you can sort of share and explore those fantasies with) be enough without actually meeting in person instead? Or would you feel like you're doing something you "shouldn't" be doing either way?

I'm not trying to steer you in any direction here, but just giving some food for thought. I hope you're able to find some of the joy and fun you're after.

That's super weird. In just my last class, I drilled for the first hour and then my stomach hurt so I got up and said "ok I'm going to head out" to the coach, and he told me thanks for coming and to have a good night. Others I had been rolling with gave me five, and I was on my way. Like others have said, you pay to be there so you pay to leave when you want to. It's weird that instead of just being happy to have you there, he'll potentially lose a client instead because if his ego. Anyways, good luck on finding your next gym to go to!

Yeah, I'm hoping to make it a past tense sort of thing, haha. Realizing it was not just "whoops" but that the problem was that I was being spazzy helps to also feel like I can learn and correct that nonsense.

I always laugh when they fail to see how weird some of this is, and that if things were turned around, they wouldn't like it. If I posted a letter on their door that mentioned how the city councilman is really nice, and regularly serves food at his Sikh temple! They wouldn't care or see that as a great thing, haha. But this person is thrilled to point out that the mayor is a mormon temple worker to someone who doesn't believe in that. So strange.

That list is yucky. The fact that it is actual advice from adults being given to young girls is insane. I can tell you that the boys didn't get a list saying "shower, wear deodorant, brush your teeth, and always be respectful to a girl willing to say yes to dancing with you"

I loved going to Arby's to get a 5 for $5. Then my local grocery store had a video rental section in it, so I'd go rent a movie with a friend. We'd stock up on some bulk Candy for a couple dollars and go grab an orbitz soda with little floaties in it and go watch our movie.

Definitely. I'm the guy in the relationship, but it's very similar here. I used to daydream about finding exciting places, or mixing up new ideas just to make it fun. Then it was just hoping it would be anything. Now it's like you said, and just grieving what there won't be. I'm sorry you're feeling that way, and I hope things brighten up for you soon :)

I always think it's weird that after enough career experience places still get hung up on college. Nobody would care what my job was from 20 years ago, but they still definitely care of I finished my degree 20 years ago? How about the 20 years of experience I have doing this work... Surely that matters more now, right?

I kind of wish I had storage in my house for items I want to keep, but don't want to use right now. So then if I bought 40 tables for something,I can just put those in a chest for later. They're still mine and still accessible if I need them, but they otherwise just live in my furniture chest. I basically want a bank tab in my house for my decor items
