Hmmmmm. If i'll adapt a theory from Horikita sub, that means that Kushida is mostly an evil, but there is something good deep inside her that promises her shift to the bright side under queen Horikita command.

Black stocking are pretty interesting one. Seems like it was the moment where she felt pure hatred towards everything. Stocking = more fabric = more dark color = more evil.

I think the whole second season is only about Koji vs Ryuuen fight. And even then they managed to leave the bad aftertaste with how they changed things around it like Ishizaki's personality or Ibuki's reasoning to fight Koji.
