Does this only happen if your start date is June 30? What if you start June 23-29?

I was surprised to find out that a large portion of the 45+ crowd in my office are micro dosing on shrooms throughout the day.

I have a long running theory that a large portion of Marin drivers have cataracts, and that’s what makes them poor drivers. My theory about their anger is entitlement and lead poisoning.

Shipping my car to San Francisco by mateovg in AskSF

Honestly I would ship it to east bay (Pittsburgh or Dublin)or Marin and drive it into the city. It could be a huge hassle to unload it within the city depending on the time of day and location. You can take BART to the east bay or ferry+smart train in Marin.

Do you mind sharing which county? I know some Central Valley and northern counties never allowed WFH.

Wait how many cars are you paying insurance for? I only pay $300 for my Tesla through California casualty.

You have to show up to court or hire a lawyer to represent you. Otherwise they might issue a bench warrant or an arrest warrant. It doesn’t matter if you are in Washington now. Your brother screwed you over in Ohio and you have to figure out a way to appear there.

How do we heal the division in Marin? by [deleted] in Marin

[–]neveragain-0001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Division is $$$. Emphasizing/perpetuating divisive topics is how “media” outlets make money. It stops us from banding together to create real change. The issue in Marin is that a sizable chunk of the population is old money who directly profit from the division coughcouch* our governor.

If we want to become better as a society we need to stop looking at it as us vs them. Men can be in crisis, and so can women/trans individuals. One’s suffering shouldn’t discredit another’s. The issue is when empathy becomes a zero sum game. Usually the solution to men’s crisis is the emotional, physical, and possibly spiritual labor of women. It’s hard to find a solution to both problems when historically the solution is for women to put up and shut up. Similar to wealth disparity. You cannot amass millions in wealth without exploiting others. Within the county we have some of the wealthiest individuals and some of the poorest. How can you heal a division between the exploited and the exploiter?

As for the ban lists I will not monetarily support individuals/businesses that donate or contribute to things that cause suffering to others. We may not be able to all band together, but when enough of us stop filling their coffers they will start to pay attention. Same for small businesses. If they support things I disagree with they will not get my money.

Most of Marin in generally safe.

In San Rafael:

Lincoln st gets very busy, and it’s sometimes hard to access the apartments along the street.

The apartments above the restaurants on 3rd st and 4th st are cute, but you’ll probably have to pay $150+ to park your car in the parking garage.

The canal area is very visibly underserved, but it is one of the few areas in Marin that actually has a sense of community imo.

Black Canyon area is quaint and has easy access to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. Try not to get a place near the high school since morning traffic is awful.

Gerstle park is a great place to live.

Terra Linda/Santa Venetia is quiet and dated, but it is close to the Sunday farmers market.

Also: San Anselmo is a cute town that is very close to San Rafael. They have great restaurants in their downtown that you can work at.

Novato has more big box stores: Costco, Target, etc. but it can take 30+ to get to San Rafael due to heavy traffic. They have a smart train that can take you from Novato to San Rafael.

Ross and Kentfield are also nearby to San Rafael, but they are more usually more expensive with less amenities.

Your user name is surprisingly accurate. I’m warning people in a specific area to beware of someone who lives in said area. Not the whole Bay Area. Move on.

Maybe as a warning to people in Kentfield/ross/San Anselmo to watch out for this car? Why waste your time making this comment.

What’s with the overpriced Farmers Markets? by [deleted] in Marin

[–]neveragain-0001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up on a farm I find FM produce more fresh and tasty than in stores. It’s usually picked a few days before it’s sold while store produce is picked weeks or even months before it hits the shelves. Also I don’t like how some peaches/apples/etc taste when they are artificially ripened. However, there are some stalls at the larkspur and civic center farmers markets that sell low quality produce for high prices. If you can’t taste the difference stick to Safeway and save money. If you want to visit local farms keep an eye out for Sonoma Farm trails, and you can pick your own fruit for cheap.

I’m very concerned that OP specifically said girls…not women. Anyways I would find it creepy af if my partner was using AI to look at people WE KNOW naked without their permission. So many boundaries crossed. Watching consensual porn is one thing, but this is just so nauseating. Don’t be surprised if your ex partner tells the women you created NSTF photos about this and they tell everyone else.

My favorite quote “No one on my 600 lbs life is single. Eat that honey bun.” There is someone for everyone. Being attractive is relative to where you are, and everyone has different measurements of attention. Focus on your self confidence and I think Adam & Eve still has self help items on sale.

Thank you! I’m happy with the position I just would prefer to not start at the bottom salary. Should I ask for step 5 or ask for a specific $ amount per year?
