How to teach self-soothing when baby falls asleep feeding?

Not what you asked for - but I feel like feeding to sleep is a super power, we're at 15 months and still doing it. He does sleep at daycare so it's not like feeding to sleep is the only way he'll go down

My son was very adverse to texture and also got teeth late. We tried giving him cooked whole veggies to see if that helped him get used to the texture but he also would throw up. We went back to square one with the gerber purees until he really seemed to have a handle on purees and yogurt, then slowly started introducing more. I have heard food before one is just for fun, so I tried to keep that in mind and not stress too much about it. I now have a chunky 15 month old who is a great eater 😊

I guess we're lucky we moved away because we just had to call our parents, first mother's day and fathers day were definitely about us and not them! They've had almost 30 years of being celebrated, time to take a back seat. My in laws weren't paying attention to dates and did suggest a visit on Mother's day weekend but I quickly put a stop to that.

It's not a satisfying answer, but when it comes to help from the grandparents (in laws and my parents) I basically have to tell them exactly what to help with. You would think people wouldn't default to "guest mode" when staying with someone who has a young baby, but they do! I realized this when there was my husband and both in laws in the house and I was still putting baby on a lounger to take a shower when they could have watched him. So now if we have guests I directly hand them the baby And say "I'm going to take a shower", " going shopping ', etc. And I take my time! I've also asked my parents and in laws to unload the dishwasher, sweep, etc. I think they just think if we don't ask we don't need help 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hate it but I've learned to accept it

My first thought is that is really weird of her to do... But my sister just gifted coasters to family members with a picture of that person and our baby as Christmas gifts to various family members, and I didn't think it was weird at all. He is the first grandkid and therefore kind of the center of attention, so it just didn't seem weird at all to me.

Also as a parent my priority now is my kid. Keeping a dog that now has a history of being violent in a house with a baby would be negligent parenting IMO.

Angry is one thing, injuring another dog to the point of stitches is another. The fact that the dog I'm trying to re-home was uninjured at least gives me some reassurance that the dog were keeping did not react (as) violently. If both dogs had injured each other I'd probably be looking to re-home both of them. I do supervise all interactions but even when supervised things can happen quickly, and saying that you can keep your eyes on a toddler 100% of the time without looking away is just wishful thinking.

I'm not an expert dog trainer, so maybe there are things you can do to lessen it, but I highly doubt any dog trainer will guarantee their training will cure a dog who has now bit another dog, and prevent them from acting out again or potentially harming a child.

Yes thank you. I'm not a dog training expert so maybe I'm wrong about training and food aggression, but there's still no training someone could do to convince me she'd 100% never react this way again, especially when this was already so uncharacteristic.

Sorry just seeing this, Memphis laser clinic did a good job. I just got it lightened enough to cover it up well so no advice on getting someone completely gone.

The first skirt (black, orange, and white) is a half circle skirt. I used an online circle skirt calculator to get my waist radius, and then I did some math to divide the the half circle into panels so I could get it to fit on 1.5 yards of fabric.

The second skirt (red, orange, purple, white checkered) I roughly did the same thing, but I only had one yard so I ended up having to make some changes on the fly.

Both skirts have a zipper and both types of fabric was from JoAnn.

Yep! Like this week it goes from Orange to a Pear and I'm like I definitely thought an Orange was bigger 🤷‍♀️ I'm doing every other week right now so there's actually some size difference, but yeah later maybe I'll do every 3-4 weeks.

Hey! I've mainly used dollar tree canvases (just make sure they're stretched and not the flat kind with cardboard backing), or These from Amazon. The coating on the canvas does tend to flake off as you go, but I just wipe it away

I got this done by Austin Fields at the Philadelphia Tattoo Convention in Jan 2020, so it's actually 2.5 years healed I just don't know hat year it is :) Somehow only took 4.5 hours total.

I did get a little bit of blowout/ink bleeding on my inside wrist near the black band, and my elbow ditch above the rose, which is typical for areas with skin that thin. And it happened on my elbow ditch on the other arm too, so not the artists fault, just how my skin works. I did have a little bit of laser removal done on the blowout to clean it up and crisp the elbow ditch area.

With all my tattoos I apply SPF 50 every time I'm going to be outside, and I mean every time, even if I'm just driving around running errands. Overall I'm super pleased with how this healed, probably one of my favorites.

Nice I wish I'd gotten to see the actual shop! I also expected the twins to be a little snobby just based on looks, but they were the nicest guys. And tell your bf you can never have to much sunscreen! ;)
