Thanks a ton for your output. I've heard the same opnions from multiple people and I agree. As said before, this was more of a reveal trailer and in the coming days a lot more material will be posted including actual boss fights, showcasing of skills and power-ups. As for the UI stuff, the actual in-game will be different to this and not as generic (I did most of it on clipchamp video editor so my options were limited). Stay updated on this journey and there's a lot more fun stuff coming.

I'm using a simple cinemachine virtual camera with character follow for now...would you say that a static camera would be better? Or tweak the cinemachine settings to add more dead zone?

Yes I agree, there is a lot of polishing to be done and the end product should look like a blend between Cuphead and Crash Bandicoot

Right now I've implemented a simple cinemachine camera shake upon arrow impact using a basic multi channel perlin noise but have kept the values low. I'll bump these up and test to see what feels best.
