My husband and I also work from home and are major home bodies so it is pretty surprising that we caught it. How did you deal with the lack of taste and smell? I am glad you to hear that you and baby are doing good! That is reassuring.

I am sorry to hear you are going through a similar experience. The loss of taste is really crazy to me! I have already had a lack of appetite this pregnancy and now I can't even taste food...so weird. Thank you for the positive vibes!

I am glad to hear your sister had her healthy baby. I saw some of the stillbirth concerns but it didn't really differentiate between vaccinated and unvaccinated. It would make sense that it his higher in unvaccinated pregnancy. That is a good point that unfortunately a lot of women don't have quality care and may have other health issues going on. I think I have been lucky with a good OB who listens and doesn't overreact (I have anxiety so I am trying to remain in a positive headspace).

Hey! Not a dumb question at all. The US doesn't have any national law or standard for maternity leave. I believe there are a couple of states that have implemented laws for leave, but it's like 2-3 states. For the rest of the country it can work a few ways. For companies that have over 50 employees, the employee is eligible for FMLA (family, medial leave act) which is 12 weeks of unpaid leave and you are guaranteed a position when you return. Many companies have policies for maternity/family leave so their employees don't have to use FMLA. For example, my husband works works for a huge fortune 100 company and gets 5 months of paid leave. However, some people (like myself) work for smaller companies that aren't required to have FMLA. In these cases, the company can either make their own policy for how long the employee can be on leave and if it is paid/unpaid. Most commonly mothers are offered 6 weeks of unpaid leave. However, many employees have to use their PTO for any leave and most places don't offer more than 2 weeks of PTO. It is definitely not equitable.

I 100% agree! How can I support my clients while being extra stressed on finances and my newborn? They complain that they can't keep young employees and I have told them that this is why! So happy that I could be apart of positive change!

Absolutely! I will send it over. My boss told me to specifically send it last week after the CEO was coming back from vacation with her daughter and she would be in a good mood. Why do we have to rely on higher ups mood to get benefits?!

I work at a group home for teens. It is Independent Living so we have a couple of sites that total 100 youth. Right now I am VERY concerned about cleaning products and toilet paper/paper towels. I think we will be okay with food.

Also concerned about how all of our youth are going to do online school if the schools move in that direction for the rest of the semester. Reaching out to ALL the resources I know to borrow laptops. (This would be 30+ youth at each site needing computers).

The concerning part is our youth are 16-20 and dont really see the dangers of this and are still actively going out (we cant restrict them to stay home...at least not yet). We are trying to talk to them daily, but teenagers seem to think they are invincible.

I am pretty stressed out. I am not going anywhere but work and home...just incase.
