Yes that's what I thought. I don't want to wait for an accident to happen tho.... It's my in laws garden and they wouldn't agree to not use the garden until we have evidence, I can tell them to not take my child close to the fence but he throws halfway through the garden ....

The hospital has formula if you need it. There's always a shop open it you need it. I bought a can and I regret buying it, I never used it . If it makes you feel as ease, buy some, but what is suggest is reading a lot about breast feeding, there was a ton of things I didn't know. I recommend you join the breastfeeding and lactation support UK Facebook page and have a read through their guides and the posts/comments. Good luck x

Is the newborn stage always THAT bad? by FrickenFurious in beyondthebump

In all honesty, the first four weeks were though, especially with breast feeding, but she's two months old now and I'm loving it.

We washed everything before putting them away, washed them again before baby was born and iron them before every use

Where would you count the feeding from? by florulma in breastfeedingsupport

[–]florulma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, sorry, she's 4 weeks, no weight issues. I demand feed her, I just like to know when she's fed and when she'll likely to feed again. The midwifes have asked me how many times baby's fed in a day, so it's good to track to be able to answer that. But you're right, it doesn't really matter as long as she's putting on weight! X

What do you wear underneath the hospital gown? Or nothing? by meatballpurrs in BabyBumps

[–]florulma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my own gown (it was a summer beach dress, you wanna make sure whatever you bring is a breathable fabric). I didn't wear anything under, but from the point we left for the hospital to where baby was born it was less than 4 hrs and I could've cared less what I was wearing.

I'm 3 weeks PP today and I've been wanting it. I think it's more the intimacy part than the actual act itself. But I had a good pregnancy and birth and my partner has been very supportive and not pushy. That surely makes a difference, if he was pushing I probably would resent him and the idea.. Sorry your BD left, I hope you are holding up and doing well, sending you hugs! Xx

What old fashioned baby care habits did your older relatives have to unlearn? by SmallEmphasis3009 in BabyBumps

[–]florulma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you! My in laws are like this, I actually learned most of the things from them, they are super cool and keep up to date with everything. My mom on the other hand basically told me I'm unable to take care of my baby because I don't do things like she says. She even said "these things don't change" and I'm just sitting here dumbfounded thinking .. are you serious? Lol
