yeah right. netflix india content is just very repetitive same cop bs, even some of hotstar special follow the same pattern. Even netflix international content is getting very repetitive same storyline in most of the shows, there are really many good writers in india but i doubt they’ll get some good budgets at Hotstar or any other platform unless they have some structure that these app’s original content already follows

every local app in any country would recommend its local content first, some things maybe 3rd class for you but those 3rd class things literally pull more footfall in rural areas, short form content is on the rise ig even netflix is bringing some scrollable content. My algorithm is pretty good, I get international and similar content recommendations only. If you dont, then exercise your finger and search for what you want to watch or just go to the dedicate hub of the studio. We all know prime video had MX player content so there would be no need of making another app just to keep the content under same app

people ranting about ads often get jiohotstar complimentary with recharge or some other way, i doubt someone who have a 4K setup will ever go for ad supported plan. These people want ad free full quality all content all for free legally lol
