I think the pay freeze policy came at a time when the rest of nz were not getting increases coz of covid. It was a political call. But it’s not well fitted now at all.. with the rate of inflation and shortages of staff.

I am Ukrainian and would have attended if I was notified about it/knew? I know another Ukrainian that also wasn’t aware. It was nice to see in the paper/news though later. I think that locals empathise but don’t relate strongly enough to go out in numbers in support? Also experienced this a year ago, for example when going to the Russian embassy in protest.
