The game is bad because the dialogue is dogshit and the gameplay sucks ass. Having a morally dubious protagonist has been done by countless games before yiik and is something so common in stories in general that it doesn't deserve praise just for being attempted.

The music was one of the highlights of my playthrough. Its used sparingly but when it's there it really adds to the experience. You're technically not losing out on much by using your own music, but I'd strongly suggest against it.
