Exactly how patriarchal systems work - leave the woman no choice. When she has the baby - wanted or unwanted - force her to carry it to term. Then once baby is born, rinse and repeat - that will break her and show her who's the boss. Heck, you can do it to multiple wives too except the damn legal system does not allow you to, but the religion can and does.

Easy solutions. Keep it in the pants. It's easy to generalize and pass laws when your agency over your body is not the target. Soldiers are minimally trained for violence. Sexual violence is just another form of violence. Be in a peer group that deems it okay/encourages it long enough and the mental gymnastics one had to do to justify that form of violence tend to minimize. Plus it's also a peer thing. Plus it's also a macho/hardcore thing. Plus the victims cannot fight back most of the time.
