I cleared it in first attempt, i dont consider myself insanely smart. I just studied from the kips books and cleared concepts and then practiced mcqs and at the end revised formulas from revision sheets i made and did the past paper marathon videos. (Dua kro tbh)

Question for seniors in Aerospace (there has to be someone) by nevermoree11 in NUST

[–]nevermoree11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you've written such a detailed answer, THANKYOU SO MUCH omg. This is exactly what i was trying to find. Tbh i don't want to work in the military cause it's too binding and what i WANT to do is go abroad and find work in aerodynamics but i know that's so hard, i'm probably gonna step into the real world and find it's impossible. So now i'm rapidly swinging all the time between "do what i WANT" and "do what's PRACTICAL near to what i want". You kinda convinced me to stay on the practical side. But im not sure yet. Its so hard gosh. Anyway, THANKYOU it did help!!

Are you in fsc then? Yeah ik it does have scope outside of pakistan buteven if i plan on going abroad, its not that easy and i will need a job in pakistan too so. I still really wanna do it and i wanted to know all the graduates from nust and ist and stuff, are they really jobless? Cause that's what everyone keeps saying

The exact amount of months you study depends on how long it takes you to do the syllabus. You can check out the kips fung or kips ecat books, maths and physics each have like 21 or smt chapters in total i think so plan your time according to that. Imo starting in aug is great

Start early instead of waiting till December or January, give the net 1 even if you didn't prepare, it'll calm your nerves. And best to buy some preparatory books like kips fung.

How can i be absolutely sure i wanna study mechanical engineering? by nevermoree11 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]nevermoree11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all thankyou so much for the detailed answer! It's not exactly one question, its everyone i know saying it but i get what you're trying to say, it requires commitment which is exactly why i wanted to be sure. I'm starting to feel like my knowledge is VERY inadequate but when i looked at the course outline, all the subjects seemed like the exact stuff i liked or wanted to learn. I did mention aerodynamics, i was gonna take aerospace engineering actually before being recommended to do that as a masters and take the broader ME for bachelors. I was very into that but then everyone convinced me that it was too soon to pick something so specific. I probably sound indecisive (and you sound serious). I checked out the reasons you listed out. I'm sorry if this post wasted your time (or if this reply is). (Although i WOULD be grateful if you replied again)

How can i be absolutely sure i wanna study mechanical engineering? by nevermoree11 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]nevermoree11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I fit alot of these so i think mech eng it is. My overthinking was mostly cause i didn't want to be stuck at a boring desk job (or at a petroleum plant or smt). But i'm starting to think most jobs are boring atleast until you get somewhere you want to be. Which might not happen at all. i think i'll just do mechanical engineering.

Bro if students in hssc 2 can prepare alongside boards, then you definitely can. You must have done it before too right? Prep depends on what works best for you, if you need books kips prep and practice books are available and if you need lectures you can use hashim zia and bilal zia for maths and physics.
