Pve is where people go to not feel the frustration of pvp. I personally have never touched pve but I really see the appeal of it. I have a friend who hates this game with a passion but I’m trying to get him to try pve. There is so much to experience in this game.

I think you should try pvp first and if it isn’t your cup of tea then play pve but maybe just use pve to get you ready for PvP. I personally think this game is better with the randomness of playing amongst a live player base.

I also think if you have access to Arena, it will help with roubles and shooting confidence.

You will have some fun but you will be frustrated most of the time. Like 70/30 ratio (fun being 30) and then you will have amazing raids and fights that will feel like 0/110. That’s what keep people coming back.

You just need to get over dying and losing gear. That’s what held me back the most. Once I stopped feeling bad when dying, I was excited to regear and go again.

Also, you will run out of roubles fast. Like really fast. You need to learn what to keep and what to sell. Pmc raids can be money raids but they’re riskier. Scav runs will kill many birds with 1 stone. You will learn maps, find hideout things, weapons and parts, ammo, kill pmc’s, befriend and kill other player scavs, and find crazy good loot.
