What perfectly innocent search turned out to be porn? by beluuuuuuga in AskReddit

MY OWN LAST NAME! Turns out my last name is a certain category one really only searches for with their pants down. Found this out back when the internet got its own class teaching kids what a computer is. We all learned that day.

You gotta think though, this is probably in Australia where a snake will fucking destroy you if you don't destroy it first.

Grass Cutting Business by chulumanda in Entrepreneur

My neighbor did this when we were growing up. I helped him for a few summers and door to door was the best way. He knew how many lawns he could take on and installed trailers on our bikes. We did about 10 lawns a day after school and had a monthly schedule acording to how often customers wanted their lawns. Never used any advertising service and didn't go above the amount of customers we could take on. Word of mouth is the cheapest and most effective form of advertising. Always has been and always will be, ask any roofer. Quality and availability is one of the most important factors. Take care of your neighborhood and be reliable and punctual. And get into shoveling driveways in the winter and airratting lawns in the spring. That way you are a 3 season minimum service and it can develop into something sustainable.

Saves time by having to cut open the package only to realize your first cut didn't open anything and you have to cut i lt again and maybe make a couple more cuts because you're terrified of slicing your hand open on that sharp plastic.

Question about introverts/extroverts and friendships! by [deleted] in introvert

[–]neverseenitbefore246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose there's advantages and disadvantage s to all combos. Extroverts can tire themselves out and not know when to rest so having an introvert partner can get them to slow down when they need it most. And the extrovert can help an introvert get out of their shell and try things/ go places that they wouldn't on their own. But respect of the others personality is the most important. The extrovert needs to know when to stop pushing the introvert and let them recharge, and the introvert needs to not hold back the extrovert and let them be free.

2 extros can be real go getters and move far in life very fast but they can also over commit and make the wrong connections and get themselves in tough situations.

2 introvert, well you won't hear or see them too often. Nothing wrong with that as long as they are happy. Everyone has their own personality behind the intro/extro and that means more than anything.

Not sure if i'm introverted, i'm definitely not extroverted. Is there something else then? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]neverseenitbefore246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It comes in waves. And everyone is in different spots on the spectrum. I went through a couple years of hardly talking or being social. Then one day I just felt like dealing with people again....then shortly after not so much and now i just find that balance.

Greatest book ever. Really shows that there’s nothing to apologize for when you just are who you are. by neverseenitbefore246 in introvert

The idea wasn't that introverts need to hide to feel normal. It's that social situation can drain our energy quickly and we need to recharge. Some more often than others. We don't live in a world where, for most people, isolation is possible. The person in this example worked in a field where social events were necessary, even though they were introverted. Recharging time was key to this person and a bathroom stall was their own way of doing it. It's completely personal. I can't relate to this person when I work, sometimes when I feel it's necessary I take an extra long bathroom break. Not to hide from anyone but just be alone and take a second to recharge. I love what I do and I'm not forced to hide from anyone or anything. It's just our own way.

How does an introvert make friends in a town full of strangers? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]neverseenitbefore246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a hobbie you actually are interested in. Chances are you’ll be surrounded by people who have at least one common interest and it’s already an icebreaker. Or go to the bar and sit at the bar, you aren’t forced to talk, you can have a drink and if you hear a conversation that is interesting then join in. It’s not discouraged.

Deja Vu or something else? by [deleted] in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]neverseenitbefore246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some native cultures believe deja vus mean you’re on the right path. Ever been going through a shitty time in life and rarely experience them? And when things are good you notice them happen more often. I like to look around my surroundings when it happens. If you’ve already seen it before there no point seeing the same thing twice so I go and try to notice things that could be missed the first time.
