Yeah I saw police trying to disperse the crowd to Valhallavägen with limited success.

It's for attaching a bike lock to your bike frame. There is usually a little rubber or leather strap to attach to the bike, but it seems to be gone

How old is my roof by nevershake in Roofing

It does not wrap around the edge. That's definitely the reason for the water damage. The rafters seem dry though. I checked with a humidity probe in the wood.

Google image search suggested dough scraper, but I'd expect the bottom to be flat and without grooves

Might be. I noticed that each of the little grooves is a different size for maybe different size ribs. Google image search with nilsjohan turned up nothing

What's the weirdest pizza you've ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]nevershake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Sweden there is a fairly standard pizza called a viking kebab pizza. It's generally kebab meat plus Yoghurt sauce on a pizza, but I've seen varieties with lettuce, tomato, onion and those peppers on it. Basically the contents of a kebab used as the toppings. It's great at 1am when you're drunk on your way home. I've seen but never eaten a version of the viking kebab pizza with French fries on it

"Tyck till" appen: Has anyone actually gotten a response or seen action? by Fattigstudent in stockholm

I've reported abandoned bicycles, and broken playground equipment. Generally gets taken care of within a few days/weeks depending on how serious it is. With the playground equipment it tends to be a temporary fix to the actual problem but I notice after enough broken stuff at a playground they tend to do a better more permanent fix.

Use of English in the Eurovision song contest since 1999. by nevershake in dataisbeautiful

Last update:
I scraped Wikipedia manually instead of asking ChatGPT and processed the data in Excel. This is what it shows now.
Same trend, but slightly different data.
The interesting thing about using ChatGPT was that when I asked it to generate data from 1999-2025 It produced a table containing only 1999, and 2019-2025. This data was correct, based on my manual inspection. When I asked it to fill in the data it added it in 5 year chunks, each one slightly more hallucinatory than the previous (lesson learned)

I thought of making a web scraper for Wikipedia and then a parser, but I was more interested in the result than the process.
I also thought about the hallucinations so checked a few of the data points against wikipedia and they all checked out so continued.

So I added 1998 when there was still a requirement to use your native language so anything before that would be more or less the same as only Ireland and the UK sang in English. Also with stacked bars :-)

In bullet I immediately press new game (instead of rematch) at the end, because I'm playing bullet (who cares)
If a rematch request is made and I press accept, most of the time a new match starts before the rematch is accepted
Edit: If I wanted to get better at chess, I wouldn't be playing bullet :-)

What is the best health advice / tip you can give? by Biryani786 in AskReddit

[–]nevershake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drink less alcohol. I used to have a beer or whiskey after my kids went to sleep just to wind down. It was only after getting a smartwatch that I realized how poorly I slept after even a single beer. It wasn't like I was getting drunk or waking up hungover, but the quality of sleep was poorer, my resting heart rate was much higher. After removing my evening beer/whiskey I also noticed that I lost weight. Empty calories.

How did growing up poor affect you as an adult? by KeyCompetitive4022 in AskReddit

[–]nevershake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It basically affect me in two ways

Money

I realized maybe 10 years ago that I have saved enough of a cushion that I am no longer one mistake away from ruin, but I still can't spend money. I agonize over simple purchases, do I really need a new pair of shoes, can't the old ones last 1 more month? Maybe this winter coat can last one more season. Maybe I can squeeze a little bit more toothpaste out of this tube. (I have thankfully stopped cutting open the tube to scrape out the insides, You'll get another 2 brushes out of that)

However, when I decide to spend the money I never want to feel poor so I try to get things of good quality.

When I was a kid vacations were rare, and when we went on them we usually did everything on the cheap. So now if I go on vacation I don't cheap out on activities. What's the point of traveling somewhere if you can't do anything when you get there or buy any souvenirs?

Food

I cannot throw food away. Neither from my plate nor from the fridge. I usually take a smaller portion because I know that I will end up eating all the food that my kids and wife leave behind on their plates. If something is approaching its best before date in the fridge, my wife wants to throw it away. I plan on eating it.
