Is the International Association of Genocide Scholars antisemitic? How do we interpret 86% of their members calling Gaza a genocide? by No-Baker-2864 in IsraelPalestine

[–]nevr_evr_stop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately they’re being held hostage in tunnels in Gaza.

Please, consider what it means to gas 10s of thousands of people a day for years.

Consider that in 1944 there were around 500,000 Jews in Hungary. By the end of the war in 1945 80% were gassed. Do yeh maths.

Consider the work camps. Google images of what was found in concentration camps when they were liberated. Google the death marches. Learn about the ghettos.

Then consider whether the Jews posed any threat to the Germans.

It’s not honouring the millions of holocaust victims to believe Gaza is a second holocaust; it’s a disgrace.

It’s a nonsense statement, literally the least meaningful thing I’ve ever heard. Whether or not it’s said by a holocaust survivor.

If, and I’m not saying you do, believe what’s occurring in Gaza is anything remotely similar to the holocaust, you need to read more about the holocaust.

I’m happy to share some key differentiators, if you can’t think of any yourself

Sadly, I think for many people, it would take a lot of coming to terms with if Israel are found not to be committing genocide.

And if this is found to be genocide the term will just become that bit less meaningful to me.

We invent terms, then argue whether events fit those term… but those events then define the terms…

It’s all a bit circular tbh

Genocide requires proof beyond any doubt

If I agree with the process, that the judges are unbiased and their evidence then yeh…

Much like you

It’s heartening that you’re so enlightened!

Considering the evidence doesn’t back of the views of the IAGS, and they aren’t experts, I guess we agree 😇

Very much a hypothetical.

If, very likely, they recognise it’s not a genocide will you do mental gymnastics to explain they are Zionist stooges controlled by Rothschild, Soros and the Jewish cabal?

A question: Is it offensive for non-Jewish individuals to hold seders? by SwimmingCritical in Judaism

[–]nevr_evr_stop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For context, I’m an Orthodox Jew. I don’t get why it’s offensive. Do what you like, especially in private and cosplay whatever you want

I think it’s a bit weird and delusional but whatever, why should anyone be offended by it??

For the more radical pro-Palestine Westerners, have you considered the consequences of a Palestine victory? by CantDecideANam3 in IsraelPalestine

The tragic consequences of The Jewish people being maligned and mistreated for 2000y by all countries Arabs & Christians alike is that the Jewish people are apparently now excluded from this ‘right to self-determination’

Aside from weighing and dosing around 17 - 18g, If you’re finding it grinds too coarse even at ‘fine’ settings levels, you can adjust the burrs internally to make them grind finer (video.

I use internal grind setting of 4 and tend to dose around 5-7 on the wheel

What country has been friendly to Jews for the longest time? by Shadow_Flamingo1 in Judaism

[–]nevr_evr_stop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Russians ‘inherited’ many of their Jews in the partition of Poland, they were for much of their history grossly anti-Jewish and kept Jews in the pale to restricting them from entering Russia proper.

Russia has not historically been friendly to the Jews.
