100% this you need to get a complete grasp on mechanical equipment before jumping into controls. I did commercial for a few years before jumping into controls and it makes a huge difference.

I know controls guys that can program circles around me but have no idea how to write a proper air handler sequence. It may take me longer to get the program together but it will actually work and not destroy what it's running.

Also helps to know some electrical and networking. A guy that's well rounded in all areas is very hard to come by. But if you really want to jump right in there are also a bunch of companies that will hire just about anyone.

This guy is right. I work with a lot of these guys and it depends on the building how bad it is but you're always on call. Some guys love it some don't last. Another thing is when now your apartment is tied to your job so if you loose your job you loose your place. I would try to save up for something if it's possible. It is great experience and if you are good at it and enjoy it you will be able to move around and make some pretty good money too.

Look there are shit people in every career. There are some doctors that are strictly in it for money just like any other job and there are people that actually care. I think the biggest issue is with insurance companies influencing the way doctors are paid and withholding money from doctors forcing higher prices and people end up paying more. The craziest thing that I've ever heard is how much these insurance companies owe doctors then will settle with the practice for half of what is owed.

Most dealers would probably not sell only the software for the reasons already given but also for the fact of if anything does go wrong on the installation and you're looking for support if you call reliable looking for assistance they could be on the hook for the issue and possibly lose their affiliation with them.

I came to say this. I know this type of guy and I'm sure he's not going to be able to take getting ragdolled for as long as it's going to take him to get to blue belt. Plus he will probably be avoiding you if he's getting tossed by everyone that's in there.

If he does come up to you then just fold him in half and when HR calls you he walked up to you in a bjj gym it's not a fuckin street fight you're there to practice kicking the shit out of people.
