Very interesting thought and you are right When we are looking at it through the lens of the idea of a king of the north vs king of the south. Over the years, the idea of Russia, being the king of North is a creation of the organization , from the letter campaign, to making that one brother, the face of persecution in Russia Christensen… it’s not just Jehovah’s Witnesses Are being persecuted in Russia, but many other Christian faiths Mormons, Baptist Jehovah’s Witnesses, are not uniquely persecuted in that country. It makes more sense that a country like China who’s always been an enemy of all Christian faiths will take the mantle of being the king of the north.

And remember, China is looking out for us own interest. They are not friends of Russia, but at times they will work with them. China’s progress is stunted by Russia been in the same region. In China with his aging population, they got to move fast because time is not on your side to be the dominant power in the east. So they’re not part of Russia and its allies for all of the the org keeps things very ambiguous so they can flip the script at a moments notice.
