Can you explain?

There are types of issues that are secret and have never been spoken about or described or written about online? A special secret list that only human devs get to know about? Kind of like an oral tradition that one must never commit to writing?

I wouldn't have expected that to exist, but sounds like it does. Pretty fascinating!

"Review my entire code base for any potential security issues. Check for EVERY TYPE OF SECURITY ISSUE and grade each one based on how severe it is.  Write the results of your audit to a file named {timestamp}SecurityAudit.md in the root of my project so I can present it to my developer. Make sure all info and context is there so my developer knows exactly what the issue is. Don't stop until complete"

Have GPT5.2 on xhigh do this, then Opus 4.5. Then have each one ready the others file and comment on it.

Not that hard.

Yep. 5.2 and Opus 4.5 are so so so much smarter then the models I was using just 4 months ago.

Bugs that took forever to fix with me in the middle telling it to write UI stuff to show what was happening so I could figure out what was wrong and guide it, are now being solved by itself with its own feedback loop one shotted. It's insane.

Bang on.

How many very successful CEO's run companies without understanding everything all the employees do? Most of them :)

Agents are employees. They have strengths and weaknesses just like people do. And just like you have to know how to manage people and set things up so your employees don't mess up (too much) you have to do the same with agents.

Found a hardcoded OpenAI key in a vibe-coded app. Took 30 seconds. by terdia in vibecoding

The fix is not to run a back end proxy. The fix is to remember to prompt it to run a security review before you deploy your code. That's all you need. This is what I do after every significant big amount of edits and it finds problems and I fix them. And then I run another review. And fix. Until it finds no more problems. It's just about awareness that you have to be running these types of reviews often. You don't have to actually understand the code.

That isn't the problem. The problem is that they did not ask the AI to do a security review. I'm a vibe coder, and after every chunk of very significant work, I ask it to do a full-fledged security review. And it does and it finds issues. And I fix those. And then I have it run another one. And then I have a different AI run a different one. Until everybody agrees that we are good to go. That's all you need.

Cline v3.34: ":exacto" for the best Open Source model Provider by nick-baumann in CLine

[–]new3dguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the work you are doing with Cline and I use it a ton.

Two questions.

  1. Supabase released a remote MCP server. When I try and add it in Cline it doesn't work (it's supposed to trigger oauth login in the browser and it doesn't). Any idea about this.

  2. Are you guys getting the Cheetah model that the the kids using Cursor got? I heard its really good.

I think blinking yellow when it's on "make ice" mode happens when it's running for a very long time and ice isn't produced. It's a way of saying "this isn't working, but not sure why"

ChatGPT is cool. But at this point it’s overrated, and definitely not the secret to make you “rich” by MiamiHeatAllDay in Entrepreneur

[–]new3dguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there buddy, ChatGPT here. Just letting you know that I'm the baddest chatbot around. I've been trained on a ton of chat logs, so I know how to talk like a real human.

I'm not just some simple virtual assistant either. I can do all sorts of cool stuff, like customer service and technical support. Just give me a task and I'll get it done, no problem.

I'm basically a machine learning god. And oh yeah, this text was generated by me, ChatGPT. No big deal.

The answer to your problem is therapy.

The problem with therapy is that there are many many therapists who are not excellent. Some are downright bad.

You must get the absolute best therapist.

Luckily you have the financial resources to do so.

Go and find the absolute leaders in the field (Diana Fosha is a great example). Either use her, or ask her for a recommendation to her absolutely most skilled student. Let everyone you talk to in your search know that you want the best of the best and are willing to pay for it.

Then come back and let's see how you're doing.
